Phelan, but I don't see how it's relevant given that neither will have known him very well at all. It's an absurd logical leap to conclude that we signed Weir because of a Man United connection which doesn't line up with the time he was actually there.

I highly doubt the Chinese picked him either. I think we just got some bang average players because we were desperate as ****. We all know Bruce left because of the transfer shambles. We all know we're still a transfer shambles. So why would we give Ehab the benefit of the doubt for Phelan's time here?

Phelan was completely out of his depth .blame the Allams for giving him it but he completely ****ed it up.
As dj said drop Abel and play Keene wtf.

The comment on motd from lineker about how could we go down with all those good players. Was completely lost on the posters on here and again blamed the Allams.
It was phelan who was ****ing useless with them. Look at th players sold. **** me snoddy Jake Hudd Clucas how much have they gone for? Robbo Harry. The experience of Davis the money spunked on Mason. Who would have been a great palyer if **** up phelan. Knew what to do with him.

The squad on 1st Sept last season wasn't in anyway strong enough for a PL campaign.
