Ha, they were telling me porkies and now enjoying an ice cold one. [HASHTAG]#ecstatic[/HASHTAG]So just found out last night that Wetherspoon’s pubs are NO longer selling bottles of Oakham Green Devil. They were charging £2.99 for 500ml and the King’s Arms had it on draught at £4.30 for 568ml. [HASHTAG]#devastated[/HASHTAG]

Man-sized chips...at £6.95 a pop

There's a clue in the beer named 'Nightmare on Magdalen St'Where's that pub - looks a bit like the King's Head on Magdalen Street??
Not tried either yet. But they now have the Vindaloo for sale more, it was hard to find when first released. I'm tempted to try it tomorrow night.Speaking of hot but not that hot, Morrison's volcanic Vindaloo was hot but not that hot but now they're trying to up their game!
Anyone going to try the fiery phal? Oh yes!
Bah!

I've not seen the Phal in Morrisons yet. Hopefully after the initial release and sell outs, they will be more available like the Vinda.
I chickened out.My trouble is that Morrisons is a bit out the way for me and it means I literally would be going for the curry alone. Twice with the Vindaloo that ended in failure before finally getting one, when we popped in on the off chance whilst in the area for american golf.
I might wait a while too, for when the initial furoure has calmed down
Bah!

Ha, I might try and persuade my son to go there for our monthly night out.Anyone tried Motherchip, based at the Fat Cat on Sprowston Rd?
They do a range of (exotic) toppings - a few pints, live music and a big bowl of twice-fried chips sounds like a decent Sunday afternoon to me
And to think when I lived and worked in the (now defunct) Branford Arms, the Fat Cat was the most insipid, uninspired Whitbread pub, the Wherry - you wouldn't use it unless desperate for a pint of Trophy or Tankard.

This is our Norfolk Poutine with soft and creamy cheese curds, classic onion gravy and fresh herbs on our Hand cut twice fried chips.
