Saints being discussed at length on TalkSport drive and about to take calls about wether our model is sustainable and should other clubs adopt it.

Worth noting that Shearer (I cannot remember the other pundit, but they did the same) predicted Saints to finish 9th, when MOTD3 was looking ahead to this year on a show toward the end of '12/'13.

You don't half push the boundaries, PL. :)

In truth, after the completely unsustainable model that Pompey worked under before, almost anything would be better. Here's hoping that Pompey can sustainably get through the leagues, although you don't deserve any sincere, charitable comments with your bloody cheek.

I would definitely buy a book written by various Portsmouth workers on how to build sustainable business. I think it'd be one of the few books to make me laugh out loud.

Here`s an article from the local Aberdeen rag - it concerns the sale of a Scottish cap belonging to Ian Black, a former Aberdeen and Saints player, won in 1948 against England. To my shame, I hadn`t heard of him.Transpires he was the first Saints player in the 20th century to be capped for Scotland. It only fetched £1600 - I might have bought it myself if I`d known. I wonder if the club would have bought it if they`d known ?

See Portsmouth lost 3.0 to Newport County in the Paint Pot yesterday. Was speaking to a taxi driver in Pompey yesterday..he was saying he hoped they'd do well as a trip to Wembley was a trip to Wembley. I agreed, saying how I'd enjoyed it with Southampton!

With Gerrard out Friday, and Kyle Walker injured, a shoe in for Lalla? Why not bring in Nat Clyne.

Don't think they will call someone else up now for 2 friendlies...unless they had no cover. Lallana remarked that the Saints lads not involved in internationals are made to work especially hard by Mauricio...presumably because they don't get a little prematch ease off. Said it with an evil smile...so perhaps Clyne would like the break of joining up :)
