Good stuff, and we're already starting to see what could be the next step, where the success of the academy (and the elimination of catchment areas) draws in even more talent. Joshua Debayo and George Mells both moved from Chelsea to the Saints academy because of its reputation for bringing youth through; Marcus Barnes reportedly turned down scholarship offers from big clubs to come to Southampton; Harley Willard came through Arsenal's setup and was pretty highly-rated before joining at the beginning of this year.

Combine the local talent being developed from a very young age with the kids between the ages of 14-16 who are decamping for the academy in search of a path to first-team football and things are going to get interesting.

I have Boruc as my reserve penalty taker on FM13 and he's scored 2 - both very nicely taken!

It really was very, very good. Shame to see it as it is now. I feel the same about Family Guy as well.

Simpsons has become a brand and now spoof films and isn't as clever nor funny; Family Guy has really dumbed down its audience and spend every episode talking to the camera, Peter explaining the joke or having a non-animation segment and South Park now only do episodes spoofing movies or events in the news.

Looks like it'll be Kevin Magnussen, which would be a MASSIVE punt in this climate, but it's one I'm looking forward to seeing pan out <ok>

Online shopping is going to kill the High St. You heard it here last.

Mind you [hand on heart] I predicted this in 1990 and I remember where I was [at STC in the Docks] and who I said it to [a work colleague called Mervyn Pugh]. He didn't laugh.

Hi Mervyn, if you're out there. :)
