BBC keep repeating "Convicted rapist\sex offender Ched Evans" over and over lately. I thought I'd check it out, thought he'd lured some 5 year olds into his gingerbread house or something.

This chick was not forced into anything? she was deemed too drunk to consent so Ched became a rapist? Is that right?
Ironically, if that girl had instead got in a car and drove it and was pulled by the police, being too drunk to be responsible for her own actions would not be accepted as an excuse. Hmmmm. If you get hammered and get into a fight and kill someone, yep pretty sure you get the book thrown at you. But if you get hammered, if you are the opposite gender, and you decide you want to shag, you are not responsible for that choice.. once you choose to drink a certain amount of booze

That's the law of (this) land Sis. Like the Family Law Courts, it's bent against men, but the reasoning for that (that women are the 'natural' better carers of children - not my logic-). Natural justice though is turned on its head in the case of rape, when, in cases like this, it turns on tne woman's word against the man's. Then, in order to obtain more convictions, men litterally now have to prove their innocence.

Ched Evans' case is quite a complicated one for some and a very clear cut one for others. He should have shown himself a massive red flag that night and just avoided the situation but he did what he did.

For me he's still serving his sentence... out on license means you can still be recalled to prison at any time if you're in breach of the conditions the court/system sets you, for that reason he shouldn't be anywhere near a football pitch until he's no longer on license and the sentence is complete. That's not taking into account the other hugely significant factor of him still being a convicted rapist after the sentence comes to an end. Until that is overturned by a court I don't think he should be playing football. He can plead innocence all he likes but in the eyes of the law he's been found guilty.

Which other professions are you not allowed to continue your previous career for an offence unrelated to that career?

I don't know what this "on licence" entails, but if it doesn't say he's not allowed to play football/train/seek employment then why shouldn't he?

well... i know if you say i dunno rape someone and are on a register you cant go get job in a creche......

i think its more that whether a guy say drove a car drunk and killed someone or punch someone in a night club and they had a brain bleed or whatever.... when uou serve your time you are supposedly to be reintegrated into society..... but it seems a brigade of groups who frankly would be on the other side if he was a minority being prevented for a different non criminal reason of playimg.... are out to make a point.

none of these groups seems to actually give a damn about the victim but of course ched evans playing hardly helps her either

red is right that he is on license and appealing whole sentance too. but being on license doesn't men you cannot work... if say he punched a player or headbtted someone he i suppose could be thrown back in jail i guess. if he is guilty he is on probation.. but the question for me if the crime ha been punished are the public at large allowed to keep punishing him.....

in the end its something bigger than him. serious crime, serious question too.

OK rape is despicable and driving without a licence and insurance is nothing by comparison but didn't Tevez manage to leave the country without completing his sentence and play in Italy?

Stopping foreign clubs signing Evans seems harsh considering the prick has served his sentence?

Technically he hasn't served his sentence. He's out on licence which will last until the end of his sentence. I think this means if he was involved in any criminal activity in that time he would be sent back to jail to complete his sentence. Also because of this it means he isn't allowed a passport or to leave the country.

Or so I believe.

Yeah look, I am not trivialising rape certainly not..

It is a fact of the case that the girl remembers nothing, she was hammered. This is what was used to determine that if she consented it was not "real" consent because she was pissed.. but no consideration is given to how pissed he was, the BBC reports it like he was 40 and her 19, he was 22-23 years old at the time.
The fact they had shagged came from him cos she remembers nothing, he does. so he must have filled in most of the gaps. He claims there was consent and I don't doubt it, 19 year old pissed chick does it with pro footballer, is that even news?

Apparently though, a chick can now go out get minced and consent to sex, wake up feeling totally different about it and call the police and basically null and void her consent and even though her intoxication absolves her from all responsibility what you had to drink is irrelevant.

The guy has been properly stictched up, not only that, one of those militant feminist nutbags has got a hard on for him, going by the blog name Jean hatchet. has raised petitions to force clubs not to hire him.

Then you have stupid ****s saying because he still maintains his innocence that means "he is not rehabilitated" and "he still doesn't know what rape is". Well I don't ****ing know what rape is either cos I thought consent from a chick, like say grabbing your cock and "saying stick it in me", even when pissed, is good enough!? Apparently not because these ****ing femitards keep moving the ****ing goalposts.

So, as it stands legally, a chick can beg you to do her, sober up and then change her mind and have you ****ing ruined.

One thing I have learned about family courts is, "many things" <doh>
Family courts and CPS are the same in the UK US and Ireland, it is an industry, one that needs to justify the pay of all manner of legal and experts and councellors and on and on, it needs kids in the system, they have no interest in what is best for kids, only in justifying their industry where broken families are the commodity. There are very rare exceptions but mainly that's the meat of it

I recently almost snapped my keyboard when I read about back in ireland a good dad who was separated couldn't get custody of his kid when his wife died, the judge, some real bitch, gave custody to his wife's boyfriend, non blood relative!!! Guaranteed future legal battles and expert opinions needed as it was these "experts" that decided the boyfriend should have the kid even as the judge acknowledged the kid's Dad was a good father. Many people kill themselves over this **** every year. Men in the system are shat on. A woman has to have literally tried to kill the kids for the father to get custody.

all true, can't work outside of the country either in any way. He's served half and on licence for half of his sentenced.

I feel for the bloke because they are making him look like he's 50 years old and snatched a child and forced her to do depraived things, really he was a young lad on the piss met a chick like millions do every single weekend.

His conviction is literally balanced on her not being able to remember anything. Ergo she was too pissed to consent. His life ruined. Like I said, let her try that one if she is caught drunk driving, judge would laugh at her if she said "i was too pissed to be held responsible for my own actions"

thats right ****.... the law should be clear if theres a birth cert. that boyfriend should have zero rights and an appeal should succeed

That's what I would think, but you see the "experts" say it's best for the kids and judges tend to go by expert recommendations.

I've read some mad stuff about these "experts" in US CPS cases. Ah sure US cops will now threaten you with taking your kids just for not complying, it really is a serious money maker in the US, you see a suicide letter every other ****ing week from some guy who got screwed by his wife's lawyer and judges and couldn't take any more.

Shameful ****. It's what really made me vomit when the Obamas got all "save our kids" and ****.

The only evidence is Ched's admission on what happened.
There was none of the following.
No complaint of rape
No forensic evidence
No injury

Scunthorpe's manager will be familiar to many of you - especially any Manchester United fans.

Boss Mark Robins will have a lasting place in FA Cup folklore after playing a very important part in winning the trophy for United in 1990, which was the first trophy of manager Alex Ferguson's reign at the club,

In January 1990 a large part of Manchester United's supporters wanted Alex Ferguson out of the club and defeat away to an in-form Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup seemed a distinct possibility - and the rumour was such a result would be Ferguson's last in charge.

What a twat.<laugh>

If you get convicted of rape I'd imagine it'd be pretty difficult to continue a career in any field once it got out, then there's the whole issue of having a criminal record, nevermind being on the sex offenders register. Thing with Evans is that he's a professional footballer - or wants to be again - and would be constantly in the public eye and viewed as a role model, particularly by young kids. That's not appropriate is you ask me. On license means that you are released from prison having served a mandatory period of your sentence but you are still serving your sentence outside prison, under strict guidelines / scrutiny of the court. If you break the rules you go back to prison and serve the rest of your time.

The day is coming when a man gets done for sexual assault for coming in a bird's mouth after 'promising' he wouldn't. If a girl has post-coitial tristesse she now has carte=blanche, depending how far she wants to go to defend her 'honour', to take a man to the ****ing cleaners.

I have no truck with slime like evans, but he wasn't exactly the Child-catcher trawling church fetes on the lookout for blushing virgins. I have 19 year-old daughter, and yes, being at uni I'm sure she gets up to things that I don't want to know. If evans did that to my daughter I'd break his ****ing legs, or arrange for it to be done anyway - after I broke my daughter's legs as well. But being so paralytic that she couldn't even remember what happened? How on earth does this nonsense of irresponsible, bad behaviour actually do anything to deter rapists?

I thank God I a) haven't got a son, and b) am too old to be out there any more on the scene. Mind you the day will also come when you need written consent, both before and after sex, from a blow-up doll too.

Which is why, if he had had half a brain, the dickhead wouldn't have waggled his dick in her face / stuck it in her. Always a chance of this sort of accusation under these circumstances. If he's not a rapist he's a ****ing stupid ****.

So shall we make it a formal rule that being on the sex offender's register excludes the possibility of being registered to play, coach and/or manage in English football? Or just make things up as we go along based on the amount of media attention a particular person gets?
