It's more the fact that they've put 'breaking news' and 'rodgers' in the same headline which can lead a mind to think 'oh he's gone has he'. This isn't 'breaking news', it's been around since before Sunday, so far from 'breaking' in fact that it's a dried up old plate of scrambled eggs.

"Radamel Falcao goes down holding his face after a coming together with Jan Vertonghen. To be fair to the Colombian he was brushed in the face by the defender's arm but nothing to see here."

So "to be fair" means "to justify Manc simulation"

All I got from that Article is that Leeds of 2008 had a bigger pull than today's United <laugh>

    BBC headline

David Moyes: How Real Sociedad boss beat Barcelona

Easy...a Jordi Alba own goal. Barca beat Barca <laugh> MoyeZ would have managed a draw otherwise.

MoyeZ looks like he's shaking hands with the Queen when shaking Messi's hand <laugh>

BBC keep repeating "Convicted rapist\sex offender Ched Evans" over and over lately. I thought I'd check it out, thought he'd lured some 5 year olds into his gingerbread house or something.

This chick was not forced into anything? she was deemed too drunk to consent so Ched became a rapist? Is that right?
Ironically, if that girl had instead got in a car and drove it and was pulled by the police, being too drunk to be responsible for her own actions would not be accepted as an excuse. Hmmmm. If you get hammered and get into a fight and kill someone, yep pretty sure you get the book thrown at you. But if you get hammered, if you are the opposite gender, and you decide you want to shag, you are not responsible for that choice.. once you choose to drink a certain amount of booze

They're also reporting on someone's blog/petition against him as football news http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-manchester-30696663

Since his case is being investigated for possible miscarriages of justice it all seems a bit witchhunty from #bbcsalford

look guys i don't know the details but he was convicted of rape so if convicted there was a court of law so i'd say don't second guess that or blame her <ok>

for me this is about civil rights if someone serves their time as a country is it you are a pariah and to be stoned in public or allowed reintegrate into society.. he's not served all his time frankly thats most of it but i do feel his civil liberties are being trampled on by people speaking to be heard in public for the sake of being heard

Ched Evans' case is quite a complicated one for some and a very clear cut one for others. He should have shown himself a massive red flag that night and just avoided the situation but he did what he did.

For me he's still serving his sentence... out on license means you can still be recalled to prison at any time if you're in breach of the conditions the court/system sets you, for that reason he shouldn't be anywhere near a football pitch until he's no longer on license and the sentence is complete. That's not taking into account the other hugely significant factor of him still being a convicted rapist after the sentence comes to an end. Until that is overturned by a court I don't think he should be playing football. He can plead innocence all he likes but in the eyes of the law he's been found guilty.

In the teatime news yesterday, sophie rayworth introduced clips of the '88 final as 2the biggest shock in FA Cup final history, as minnows Wimbledon beat giants Liverpool". Was it? I remember being bitterly disappointed as we'd beat them 4-0 in the league earlier in the season (we beat palace 9-0 the season they knocked us out of the semi) but Wimbledon finished 8th (?) that season, as I remember. What was the difference in league standings between Soton and Manure in '76? Arseanal and West Ham in '80? And City and Wigan two seasons ago?

Wimbledon were hardly ****ing 'minnows' back in the late 80's.

I got right onto that also donga, if getting beat in the final by a club from the same division is a major shock the dogs of war beating utd should be included.
