They appear to be having a competition tonight to see who can be the worst.
First ITV decided that with 1 hour to show 5 games they'd spend the first 20 minutes (including adverts) looking at the game that they'd broadcast live and that only finished 3 hours earlier. Added to not showing as much of the other games that hadn't been live on the telly they had Andy Townsend umming and ahhing his way through questions wasting half the time they were talking about the games. Townsend providing added ****ness value to the coverage as a result of his still being employed after his comments last year that El Hadj Diouf standing over Jamie Mackie taunting him about the career threatening injury he'd just suffered was just Diouf being a WUM and that QPR were to criticise him for it. (the exact quote was "he's a master wind up merchant and I can't believe Neil's fallen for it" whilst laughing about it)
The BBC saw it was a big challenge to beat them and put Claridge on FLS. Starting off with with him saying that Leeds are such a big club in this division and everyone loves playing them because of the atmosphere their fans create. It was Pompey's turn to get off the bus today, not as long as usual as they only had 14 players available today which will disappoint the coach fans amongst the viewers. And they're doing a feature with Southampton now, where in response to a question about whether he felt he'd done his work turning round the recent blip Nigel Adkins response began "it's a consistency you aim for, I think if you remain consistent, and you've been successful with being consistent, then that consistency will get you through to maybe being successful..."
