They appear to be having a competition tonight to see who can be the worst.

First ITV decided that with 1 hour to show 5 games they'd spend the first 20 minutes (including adverts) looking at the game that they'd broadcast live and that only finished 3 hours earlier. Added to not showing as much of the other games that hadn't been live on the telly they had Andy Townsend umming and ahhing his way through questions wasting half the time they were talking about the games. Townsend providing added ****ness value to the coverage as a result of his still being employed after his comments last year that El Hadj Diouf standing over Jamie Mackie taunting him about the career threatening injury he'd just suffered was just Diouf being a WUM and that QPR were to criticise him for it. (the exact quote was "he's a master wind up merchant and I can't believe Neil's fallen for it" whilst laughing about it)

The BBC saw it was a big challenge to beat them and put Claridge on FLS. Starting off with with him saying that Leeds are such a big club in this division and everyone loves playing them because of the atmosphere their fans create. It was Pompey's turn to get off the bus today, not as long as usual as they only had 14 players available today which will disappoint the coach fans amongst the viewers. And they're doing a feature with Southampton now, where in response to a question about whether he felt he'd done his work turning round the recent blip Nigel Adkins response began "it's a consistency you aim for, I think if you remain consistent, and you've been successful with being consistent, then that consistency will get you through to maybe being successful..."

I'm just giving them the benefit of the doubt about their abilities. They must be capable of better and are just trying to get as much crapness into their programming as possible as part of some bet. There's no other reason for Manish to refer to Joby McAnuff as Jobby.

    Lol, all typical annoying things.

That TWS thing absolutely does my tits in though. The entire football world loathe them and I can understand why people on telly need to be impartial and can't just go along with the loathing, I don't see why they have to go the other way and just bum them up the arse. Everyone on telly has this idea that because Leeds had a successful 90s they are somehow more important than every other team and when they eventually go back to the PL (I'm sure they will one day) they'll all say cringeworthy things like 'Back where they belong' :emoticon-0106-cryin How can they make out Leeds have a right to be in the PL?

I wouldn't have minded the Leeds thing so much because we're used to them bumming the club, but making out that other teams fans like playing Leeds because of the atmosphere the Leeds fans make? Why can't they be honest and say the atmosphere of the games comes from Leeds being the pantomime villains in the division?

I think it was the bit in the first paragraph where the quote says "decided to that". I think most of my edits are the result of correcting typos. Especially when I've been on the laptop, it's getting quite old now and it's developed the habit of doubling up on letters when it shouldn't be.

Might be the other one in the first line, where it says "can be worst". Shouldn't it be 'be the worst or can be worse?

I find these things are much better if you just Sky + them, then watch them an hour after the start with it on mute, then you don't have to listen to any of the waffle.

I thought they would have shown Norwich V Leicester with Championship knocking Premier League out, but instead they choose the game that was televised earlier. Then with ITV there's the adverts!

I Sky+ Football League Weekend on Sky with George Gavin as a point of principle waiting to see if they acknowledge we even exist. They even skip over us if they're discussing our opponents.

I find it funny more than anything. These clueless people are only on there because they're not up to a proper job in football.:emoticon-0116-evilg

Watched that fellow Mark Chapman fronting the BBC Results programme yeterday at 4.30pm with Mark Bright and Dion Dublin - all three bigging up TWS with their winner in th 9th min of added time. ..how Warnock had already started to weave his magic and how good their support was .. 21500 for a local derby with a fair few from Donny. Does your head in.. ffs
