The whole matter was very disappointing, I hope NB goes on to acheive whatever he seeks to do, plus enjoys the windfall.

If none of this sacking had happened, and Barmby stayed til the end of the season,
It would have been interesting to see if Bruce could have still took over as manager but keep Nick as his assistant.
 
so it ends up all about the money , precisely as I said at the time it would resort to ..

pretty dismal end to a sorry saga if you ask me with no one coming out of this with any credibility (mind you neither really deserved any if you ask me)

I choose to remember never changing the approach / line-up when things clearly werent working, a staunch belief in playing only 1 forward and ultra defensive football, 1 win in 11 and refusing to rest clearly exhausted players as players with dozens of top flight appearances kicked their heels.
 
I seem to remember a couple on here saying they would tell the story, once it was all over and resolved...

Well I would still love to know the whole story and am a bit disappointed that Nick is not telling all, maybe some stuff will be leaked out bit by bit.

The Allams have given him money.

He's been paid to take it no further.

Let's just file the whole episode away as 'regrettable'.

The key words are "have any intention"

This, in my opinion, suggests that both parties accept part blame for the whole saga.

NB accepts that his comments could have been perceived as to belittle the club & owners.

The owners believe NB's comments did belittle themselves and the club but now accept it was not intentional

No party has come out smelling of roses

If we need to talk about winners the only person I can see to have gained anything is SB.

At least read my post! I said " a couple on HERE" (i.e. posters on this board) would reveal what they knew once the legal issue had gone away.
I wasn't suggesting Nick would tell all on here.

Deary me...

So come on, post the news OLM and the rest!
 
If Barmby has been paid off by the Allams to not tell his story, doesn't that pretty much conclusively prove what has been said for ages, that his side of the story would have shown them in a very bad light? A lot of people on here made their minds up ages ago for whatever reason, but look at it. Why has he been paid off? They are scared of people knowing the truth.

Err this wasnt about money apparently, Nick was definitely going to tell all, he wont be muzzled etc.

OLM seems to think he has got a pay out and that means he has won. Again no one will ever know, its who you want to believe. There is nothing in the statement about him getting money. Just Nicks friend rushing onto here to make out he won. Has he really won anything.

OLM has also said that there was an altercation with Ehab, that would negate a large payout, but sadly with the Barmby family it has always been about the money. I wanted him to come out and tell all, he wont now. Days spent sitting in his castle counting his money, seriously doubt he will work in football again.

siiigh , it could as easily be said that Barmby didnt have to accept the money if he wanted to tell his side or "the truth" he didn't he chose to accept partial responsibility along with the city owners and compensation has been agreed.

I'd say its pretty grown up compared to your conspiracy theory !!

More pointless speculation and finger wagging thats not gonna do anyone any good .
The final outcome is exactly what i said it would be , Barmby accepts a payment he didnt have to , to say nowt .
As said above if there was anything to tell , it now wont be publicised and possibly damage , the club , the staff , current players or Barmby .

Also i Agree with other comments of file under " regrettable "

Barmby took a 90% pay cut and dropped two divisions to come here, then took a pay cut to become a manager when he wanted to carry on playing. But yeah it's all about the money with him.

The Allams on the other hand have been gradually stripping this club to the bare bones over the last year or so, taking out more and more important parts because they costs too much. But yeah, Barmby is the one obsessed with money.

Remember the Aluko transfer and how long it took to get the paperwork done? That was because our previous football secretary Phil Hough (the person who deals with the FA, FL, etc.), who by all accounts was very good at his job, was made redundant and replaced with someone cheaper from Allam Marine who didn't have a clue, so it took this person a month to complete Aluko's signing. Just one of the latest crazy moves for the sake of a few pence. But I probably made all that up like the scouting thing because I'm Barmby's wife or something.
