i used to live not too far from there ffor a while by Wood Green. couldn't wait to move on - Tottenham is a ****ing ****hole of a place.
I would do that deal, DiMaria is class, maybe not quite as good as Bale but he is up there. If Spurs spent the money on couple of good strikers they will be just as strong. Teams will work Bale out this season and double up on him. He is a one man team so eliminate his threat and you eliminate spurs. Bale could not get them in the CL on his own last season so why should it be any different this season. Makes you wonder if PDC is in the know and is waiting to see what happens re: making a bid for Rose.
Certain people on this site have said "Yeah if Sessegnon leaves for £10m then fine" (a player we cannot replace for that amount of money) - And then we get people saying Spurs shouldn't take the offer from Real - Of course they should - the money + players mooted would definitely be a best option for Bale - I personally wouldn't want to sell Sessegnon (am a firm believer in keepiong your best unless you can improve for the same money) - Spurs can improve their whole side by selling their main man - Give the £50m to Livepool for Suarez and, with the other 2 as well, you have a great team instead of being labelled "Gareth Bale FC"
Hard to believe that three or four seasons ago Bale was available for about a couple of million from Soton. He only ended up at Spurs as nthe bigger guns did not rate him at that price.
Aye crazy - Although the biggest thing was that they were selling a left back - who wasn't very good at left back!!
Thing is though, The big teams tend to let other top flight teams develop tallent and then they part with big money for them. They really missed the boat on this one as the money is insane. Spurs have got to sell. Think it was Cest said, he could break his leg next year and never hit that value again. It's like stocks and shares. Now has to be the time to sell.
He's had one really good season with his left foot.. there is no doubting that Bale is quality, but to be labelled in the same price range as Ronaldo? He's no where near Ronaldo in terms of quality, so for Real to be offering this type of cash is insane. Tottenham were average at best when he was out injured last year, and I still think they are a one man team. IF they took the deal with Real, and as was said by Marcus give the money for Suarez, with Di Maria and Coentrao they will be a better team overall. If Bale breaks a leg first game into the season, they will struggle.
An obscene amount of money yet again, UEFA & FIFA should both step in & veto that deal, the world economy is in shreds, a lot of people are suffering because of it, especially in Spain, Real Madrid is already in serious debt, it should be stopped!
So we should make sure that tax isn't paid on the transfer fee in England and his wages in Spain and the Real keep the money?
I haven't felt this sad since I found out NMG is actually from Gosforth, Bill of England doesn't 'sayneverwasbeen', Syd is in fact 21, Mackems Rule actually likes mags and Cest isn't actually opinionated in their respective real lives.
If the figure and player deal mooted are trus I think the spuds would be mad noT to take it, loads of Wonga in the kitty, 2 players and for sure and a chance to build on what,,s there without him, 1 guy isn,t a team yes he scored loads but maybe he won,t do it next time round, other clubs will eventually learn to push him on to right foot
Offer now changed to £85m Real Madrid have made a world record bid of over £85m to Spurs for Gareth Bale, Sky Sports understands. The bid has been on the table for over a week and Bale is aware of it and is becoming more frustrated with the situation. Transfer betting Sky Bet go odds-on that Gareth Bale leaves Tottenham this summer, but will Daniel Levy resist the advances of Real Madrid? Click here to bet on Bale's future. The bid does not include any Real Madrid players moving to Spurs as part of a package. Sky Sports understands Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is currently in Miami and that the club's stance - that the Wales international is not for sale - has not changed. Bale has so far kept his feelings to himself, making no public declaration about what he wants to happen next. Tottenham and Bale are back from the Asia Trophy and will resume training on Wednesday.
