Ok, been watching the World Cup so late to this. Has Gomis finally officially signed and what the **** are you lot squabbling over now? He's a decent signing based on his form, but needs to prove himself in the Premier League. Great to have him on a free if we have to inflate wages a bit. Again, can't see where this thread is going off track. Yay! New player.
It's better than it used to be, but I'd still say it was substandard for an adult (or even for a child in secondary school).
Many English football followers think Swansea is in The Valleys. Referring to the Premier League as The English Premier League surely adds to the confusion of people like Gomis, which may explain his erroneous statement.
"Many English football followers think Swansea is in The Valleys." I have English friends who often say "How's things down in the Valleys"
Good article there,Valley. Garry Monk describes Gomis as being,"humble, hard working and honest". If so,he'll do for me. A shed full of goals wouldn't go amiss, either.
Probably explains why visiting fans'are often seen driving around Aberdare and Merthyr looking for The Liberty Stadium.
