In that clip cartoon he looks very similar to Lukaku. Big, fast, strong and very good movement, who can come in from out wide and play up the middle.

Think this will turn put to be one hell of a signing <ok>

A reserve keeper who has hardly played any football and has been injured for most of the last 3/4 seasons and a striker (admittedly with a good pedigree) approaching his 30s who we are paying approx. £16m over 4 years.

Yea great signing it looks like...Really hope we can keep hold of Michu. Also, greedily I want Emnes as well...
That'd be one of, if not the, best striking team in the Prem.
    Couldn't fit everyone in.w

    Team for next season

    Vorm
New Right Back, Williams, New Center Back(would love Caulker) Davies
    Ki, Leon, Routledge
    Gomis, Michu
    Bony

    Bench:
De Guzman, Emnes, Fulton, Hernandez, Rangel, Amat, Fabianski

This team could be lacking a bit of bite in midfield...Maybe Michu dropping a bit further sometimes...Or Swap Michu with De Guzman...And maybe somebody else instead of Ki...
I feel like I've left some people out.
    Taylor.

No Chico? And de Guzman to add bite?? Note also that Dyer doesn't even make the bench. And what about Fabianski? I don't think he's coming here to warm the bench. If that's the plan he'd have been better off staying at Arsenal. Seems we might be spoilt for choice but I'd want Chico starting and Dyer in the squad.

I think Shelvey is missing also. Dyer and Shelvey before Emnes surely.

I think we need to play a 4-1-5-2-2 formation:

    Angel -- Chico -- Ash -- Ben
    Leon
    Dyer -- Shelvey -- JdG -- Pablo -- Routledge
    Michu -- Emnes
    Bony -- Bambi

    Works for me :)

I think his age is irrelevant as players seem to keep going until they are 33 or 34 these days. So 4 million pounds a year at today's contracts is not a bad deal.

    I see it as:

    Vorm/Fabaianski
    Rangel - A N Other - A N Other - Davies
    Routs - Leon - Jonjo - Dyer
    Gomis
    Bony

Think we have great options now up front so long as we keep Bony and Michu.

Midfield think we need another winger, plus someone to challenge Leon & Jonjo.

Defence is my only worry, to me I think we need a major overhaul in this area, I know we have Ash, Rangel, Chico, Amat, Bartley, Davies & Taylor. But for the life of me I can't put a good partnership together. It would be interesting to see Amat and Bartley together, I do like the look of that.

I do feel defence is the area we need strengthen.

Defence is ok but we do need a couple of tall defenders to add to the squad so we can rotate the players a bit more than we have in the past.. As it looks at the moment then we have a good squad if it stays that way but i think that we may lose a couple in the next few weeks. I will be surprised if we don't...

We could sign Messi, and you'd still find an excuse for why he wasn't a good buy. Man up and admit Gomis is a great signing. By the way, what makes you think we're paying him £4 million per year? And what makes you think we'll keep him for 4 years? We may pay him for 1-2 seasons and then sell for £10 million+ and make a profit. This is a great deal. Don't forget that he came on a free transfer, so we've save a small fortune there.

Nice position to be in though ,<ok> I agree keep Chico and Dyer in the starting 11 and why not they would be my 1st choice . if we keep the majority of last years squad then we'll see how Monk is at keeping everyone happy ,not an easy task but made easier with the quality at his disposal .

The defence was the 8th worst in the Premier League last season so it was a bit of a problem. I would like to see a strong defensive midfielder who could drop back to fill the gap left when our fullbacks attack. On the whole I don't think our defensive personnel are the problem more the system. I wonder whether getting a new central defender and using Chico as a defensive midfielder might be the answer.

Is it a great deal. Goal scoring record 1 in 3 in a piss poor french league. if anyone believes he came here because of GM and not the 80 grand a week we are paying him, are living in cloud cuckoo land. We offered him the most money and that is why he signed. It will be interesting to see how he copes with the PL. I think he is a tidy player, but I also think we are paying a bit to much for him. (dont quote he is free as we are paying him a massive signing fee)

Still It could turn out to be a good signing and he could get his 15 goals for us. But he aint no replacement for Bony. As for the you tube clips. Jose Moriera looked good on you tube and he was ****.
