Aparently according to Aluas on twitter they are happy with our offer its Gomis stalling as we have offered him 3k less p/w than he wants (70k) who knows tho. Its all he said she said.

Normally #lyon would need to accept a bid before #nufc could start talking personal terms with Gomis.

they tried brinkmanship... we walked away... their chairman though 'oh ****' I'll have a worthless asset in the reserves.... then backtracks.
basically what will happen will be similar to Sissoko in that the player will lower his demands... selling club will lower theirs and bingo we have a signining.
Latest according to the player is that he has agreed personal terms with NUFC and the only thing holding the deal up is Lyon being greedy.
Can't find anything on this anywhere, TM. Not sure it's impossible to agree terms, I think we only need permission from Lyon to do so. Still, keep hoping - whatever stops Bent arriving.

Sky reporting Newcastle met with Loic Remy today to agree loan terms and we haven't pulled out of the Gomis deal which hopefully means things might be moving at last. Not before time either.
