Bank Holiday weekend as notDistant has said.....'this is the start of the proper season'....but we'll hang on to the lovely 12pts already acquired thank you very much.

First Div One casualty.....Hasselbaink resigns as Burton manager....having achieved 1pt from their first seven games.

The press ramping up Schumacher as a possible replacement for the Huddersfield vacancy.....having sacked their new manager after one win in nine games.

Not really ramping up is it. His name has been mentioned is about the size of it. It's going to be isn't it given his record regarding Argyle. Whether it is a serious possibility or not is a different story. I'm not so sure he would be considered experienced enough for the Championship just yet.

Would you join a club who appointed a manager only to resign less than two years later due to a lack of investment in the squad? Doesn't suggest there was a thought-through plan clearly communicated in the recruitment process does it? A club which then proceeded to appoint another manager and sack him after 9 games? It doesn't suggest they they know what they are doing does it?

NEW DIRECTOR.

Another American joins the board......Nick Giannotti......mmmm....not so sure about that.....makes me think of 10 years back.....surely our MD knows what he's doing. ?

Oh no it's the Mafia moving in.......... Lets be honest Hallett knows what he's doiing a damn sight more than you and me and I don't think he is just going to let any old person join that he isn't sure about. Given what he has put into the Club why would he jeopardise it. I get that Argyle Supporters remember the troubles but they do come across as a bunch of paranoid old grannies at times. We are in safe hands so rejoice.

Just get worried when Nick Giannotti turns up to a match with a violin case under his arm.......especially if it's St Valentines day.

Stephen Schumacher emphatically denies any interest not only in Huddersfield or anywhere else. Yes, we’ve heard that before: I doubt he’d turn down Everton for example, but he seems a more straight up guy than some.

“I’m not interested in going anywhere. I love this job: I’m incredibly fortunate to be in this role at such an early stage in my career, to manage a massive club like this… I’m really happy here and I’m not going anywhere.”

It seems that Ipswich have now got three players called up for international duty.....so they could now call for a postponement if they want to.

News update is that apparently Ipswich haven't got 3 players on international call up now so probably no excuse to cancel anything.

Youm not a praper fan BC. You should be prepared to get up at any time for the bheys. Better still stay up and go to bed when the game has finished.
