White trainers and Lacoste used to be a very scouse thing. Now it's North Face.
On the way back from a Steely Dan concert at the dome in London, we were on the tube going through the West End. A gang of pissed up Scousers got on. Just high spirits, no ****. I was still on crutches. One of said "Alright lad?". I said "Sound la". He turned round to his mates and shouted "He's a ****ing Scouser". One of his mates said "Of course he ****ing is. He's wearing Adidas and Berghaus". Not sure about North Face Jonners

Then everyone else on the tube sighed, shoved in headphones and avoided eye contact with the loud northerners.

I will have to sack my fashion advisor.

Teenagers everywhere may be wearing North Face but it's another American import that came over, took over and settled in Liverpool before spreading out, like sportswear as casual wear - started in Liverpool.
I've had North Face bits an pieces for about the last 20 years?

What's the deal with all the NASA branded tshirts and hoodies nowadays too? I've also had a NASA hoodie for about 10 years, but now they seem to be everywhere, with kids wearing them?

NASA has become a streetwear/hypebeast must have I guess? Yours is probably worth auctioning off.

It's annoying about North Face becoming chav uniform because a lot of their gear is actually proper outdoors stuff. I've had a Gore-Tex NF shell for years which is still going strong despite a cat pissing on it and it probably needing re-waterproofing. I recently bought a Patagonia jacket which is brilliant and less of a chav/scally/whatever the word is nowadays brand. Brilliant experience in their shop too, although I bought the jacket online elsewhere cheaper.

I've got a new Berghaus Gore-Tex arriving this afternoon <ok>
