Not like he can't afford a new pair every hour. Then again, he probably didn't even pay for them anyway.
White trainers are for every occasion btw![]()
If it isn't already, Anfield is going to be one of the finest stadiums in the world. It might not be as big as Wembley, but I think of the two venues, I think I know which has the more character and magic ..... and it isn't Wembley!!!
As a footnote, I wonder what your grandfathers and great-grandfathers would have made of this in the 50s and 60 and even the 70s and 80s?

My uncle died in 2011 believing that NESV, as they were, were going to build a £200m new stadium out of their own money as they had got the club for less than half price in a rock-bottom, distressed sale, and that is what RBS told the High Court when they successfully opposed H & G.
Well.... given spurs took a billion to build a toilet bowl and we will have spent 300mil (of lfc revenue paying back fsg or other loans) to build anfield up like this I think the original plans were a complete joke.
Fsg have just run a business, nothing else. They certainly have done sweet **** all to make themselves sweat over. Everything done has been done out of lfc resources paying lfc staff that fsg put in place.
Literally imo the only thing to thank them for is not taking and annual slice of the pie like the glaziers.
Lfc pays for itself. Fsg cream it on the global markets and sold shares in red bird to go global and make even more money for themselves.
Yep, but that's not the point. £200m of FSG's purchase was supposedly for developing the stadium. That was also what they told the Inland Revenue. Instead, they have loaned LFC the £100m or so they have so far spent on redevelopment. Pointing out that the Glazers are crooks is just one step removed from the whataboutery that FSG are still better than H&G, as if we should be grateful. Not a dig at you, but that is the fallback of my family and friends who are reds, and are still simpering that FSG 'saved' us, despite the fact that the value of NESV's initial investment has increased tenfold to £3bn.
Lfc is run to be self sufficient which is how it should be.

Wut? How would having the £200m promised in the purchase price to be spent on stadium development being spent on stadium development affect our self-sufficiency? It would have no impact on FFP, and it would fulfill what NESV contractually entered into. Perplexed that I'm the only one who sees this.![]()
I don’t know anything about this as weren’t part of the contract negotiations between fsg and the bank tbh.
But we’ve redeveloped main stand at Anfield and are now doing another stand to add a few thousand more seats so I’m not sure what the arguement is?
The argument is that we are paying for it and we shouldn't be.![]()
Why shouldn’t we?
