Sounds like one of the Allam's fictional attendance numbers.42, 000 well into the 70s
Capacity at a squeeze, but we haven't had one that high since the early 50's no ?

Isn't it great having statues of mostly good people in our city?
I remain corrected - I attended the Stoke match ( Gorden Banks brought more than 2,000 family members to B.P.) I noted 42,000 (exactly) in the programme. The previous Wednesday I attended the Sheff United game we won at Bramhall Lane(Knighton's first game I believe) which had slightly over 40,000. Think we averaged just over 22,000 at home that season.Check out City v Stoke 71
Last time this city saw a 40k+ crowd for a sports event.

No home 40k + crowds since methinks.

I dont think Sadiq Khan has thought about his statement regarding statues and street names in London.... or maybe its his way of getting more people into London to ease the economic burden,.,.,.Isn't it great having statues of mostly good people in our city?
Best remove them all just in case
