Don't need to, I and many other said we'd battling at the bottom right at the start of the season, this is no surprise to me.

Even if they did, there's a very fine line between mid table and the relegation battle. has been for seasons. Look Bruce's so called magical season that finished us in midtable, we weren't safe until a few games left to go.

If people are anything like me they,

    Fear relegation
    Predict safety
    Hope for mid table
    Dream of glory

Mixing up those 4 things is very easy to do especially when only a few points lie between relegation, safety & mid table.

Aye I remember that, we beat west ham 3-0 and finish 10th. Midtable is like Newcastle and swansea now.

To be fair Newcastle are only mid-table numerically.

In reality they're only 10 points from relegation but 20 points off the top ......
.... Everton look halfway but are only 3 points better off than poor old Sunderland.

So you're telling me midtable now consists of three teams? It's barely worth the title. I'll just split it between top half and bottom half. Because that's the sensible way of looking at it.

There's no point in anything other than staying up in the league.

Hull's adventure into Europe was like the Johnson Paint Trophy tbh .......... poor crowds, little enthusiasm and a 2nd rate competition.
All it did was leave them 1 place outside of the relegation places.

I agree with you, the cup is all there is for clubs like us .......... can't wait for Sunday <ok>

West ham, Swansea, stoke, Everton and Newcastle are midtable.

The league splits in 3 ways for me. If you think your opinion is the sensible one then fair enough.

    I think different sorry

Westham have an outside chance of Europe fella. there 11 point between Westham and everton man. If that's what you think fair dos but I think it's a distorted way of looking at the league

I don't look at it point wise tho. I look at by league position. 8,9,10,11,12 is mid table. Just the way I see it pal.

Maybe you should, it's all that matters. It's the statistic which forms the league.

8 years now in the premier league and we have not moved forward, why are WHU where they are ? they are on a par with our squad, in fact weaker but they are on 37 points. You can see the difference as they get at players from the off, man mark good. This switching off after we win a league game is irratating the hell out of me. We must beat Bradford or else that's it for me and Poyet.

Is the the West Ham who were relegated and only scraped up through the play-off's in 2012, who narrowly avoided relegation on other occasions recently and whose supporters were baying for the manager's blood last season?
And where are they now, 1 win in 9 games, dropping down the table and Carroll out for the rest of the season?

I blame Mourinho mate .......... the likes of Poyet, Monk, Rodgers, Martinez all want to be 'the special one'.

They all the daft patter about 'groups' & 'moving forward' & 'philosophy's' but can't back it up.

They want to be 'eccentric' like Mourinho and be the centre of attention for the media.

Just get on with the ****ing job and keep your ****ing mouth shut ..........

The teams in mid table are much closer to the bottom than the top in terms of quality and squad size, all could hit a bad patch and go into free fall, and usually one does.
