I want us to aim for Europe, why not when we are one win away from 6th? Granted we more than likley won't get there but stranger things have happened!

I always said 17th was the minimum, I hoped for top half but expected us to be about 13th.
For me it's all about the Mackems now (Europe made almost impossible by Brum beating Arsenal). One point separates the teams with ten to play. Game On.

I will still be happy if we survive, which seems pretty certain now.
However, I think the team should AIM for Europe! Even if we do not manage it it should be a target. Always aim high, then you know you've done your best! I have done a lot of calculations and some serious speculation over the course of the morning and have decided what I think is likely.
I would say that it is reasonable to suggest that we would get another 15pts this season. That would make me very happy indeed, and based on performance so far I do not think that is unrealistic. That would bring us to 53pts, a very respectable finish, likely top half.
If we far exceeded my expectations and had some serious luck I would say 19-21 more points are available, which could see us in Europe. (58pts) this would be a dream come true. Certainly not something I would expect, but I do expect the lads to try.
However, with a few key injuries we may struggle very badly indeed. I think though, that unless the team happen to be in the wrong place when there is a terrorist attack or similar, then it is fair to say that I exppect at least another 4 points. Possibly from draws with Blackpool, Wolves, Brum and Brom. As I say this is worst case. No offence too teams mentioned, it is based on style of play and previous experience as well as form and league position. I have a great deal of respect for two of these teams

I do fancy us nabbing 6th place given we're only 3 points off and have a fair few winnable games until the end of the season (Everton, Wolves, Blackpool, Birmingham, West Brom)...it may be slightly deluded, but 2 years or so of trying to look at our chances realistically is just far too long! Plus it would be sweet to get one over on Judas.

We should be aiming for europe. if we miss out then i wont be dissapointed. but the higher we finish the better. we need to show ambition rather than settle for mid table.
Also, all this about not having a squad to cope in europe.. well we wont be playing in europe till next season if we qualified... we wouldnt keep the same team we would invest. as much as i hate Ashley, as a businessman he knows what he is doing. if we qualify for europe it has huge benfits for him and advertising for sports direct. the more money coming in the happier he is and i think he would want to keep it that way and the only way we would stay there is for him to invest.
and people thinking championship to europe in 2 season is too much of a step up... but the fact is when we were down in the championship the gap between us and the rest was huge. it was blatanly obvious we was still a prem team, and that has been proved this season. we didnt spend a huge deal of money but we have surpassed all the doom merchants writing us off.

Brimingham winning the carling cup imo effectively ends a chance of europe but just talking about the possibility is better than what the West Brom and Blackpool lot are doing. Definately exceeded expectations just hope second season syndrome doesn't get us.
What the hell Europe, though top half would be good, defo got higher expectations now than at the start of the season.
their must be a higher goal to keep motivation at the levels that we have seen throughout the season
Happy with a mid table finish for our first season back but if we get a Europa spot i'll be over the moon! 
Europe's unlikely, but we should be aiming for a Top 10 finish (and to try and finish above Sunderland). We've been there most of the season and our run in isn't that bad. Though I'd have settled for 17th at the start of the season, tbh I'd be a little disappointed if we finished in the bottom half now
Happy with mid-table but would hope the lads are thinking Europe to keep them motivated 'till the end of the season.
Before the season started I thought we'd get 13th/14th but we'll finish higher than that although Europe is still a bit of a long shot. We can but hope though.

Also the poll is a bit knacked. I think we're more than capable of staying where we are, wouldnt be dissapointed with 12, but think we've got a very slim chance of getting Europe if we get on top of our game.
aslong as were 17th or higher im happy but while we are in this position why not push for europe, you go into every game looking for 3 points, i think we could actually get 6th *IF* we go on a good run before a few hard games still 6th is still very optomistic but i just want the best we can get

Would be happy with anything in the top half, but theres absolutely no reason why we can aim for 6th spot with good players coming back from injury and the team being in decent form. Realistically though I think we will be between 8th and 10th.
