    We're more or less safe now so I'm already happy, but as long as we still have the chance to go for Europe, why not aim for that?

    There's an outside chance we can catch man utd and arsenal if we win every game and they hit an extremely bad run of form, barring that breaking into the top four will be an acceptable if disappointing end of season result. I mean seriously Pardew and the boys should be setting their targets higher, just because we didn't qualify for the champions league shouldn't stop us winning that either. It's not our fault they're treating teams from the north east like the ugly sister again and not allowing us to play in competitions just because we didn't get in. Really where's the delusion?

    I'd be very happy if we finished above mid-table and shocked into orgasmic ecstatic convulsions if we manage a european spot.

    Yep. It was supposed to be where you would be happy finishing, but people have just gone for what they are hoping for... Oh well.
