  • 16th - 13th

Since about half way through the season my hopes of finishing position etc. have changed.

I started out, like many of you may have, saying "17th and I will be happy!", but since about Xmas, and especially after our December and January run (which I though was very good considering the games) i would be very disappointed if we were to finish 17th.

So, are you sticking to your gun's, or have you got your eyes on a bigger prize now?
 
I'd say 12th if I wanted to play it safe, Top 10 if I wanted a good season and 6th if I wanted to orgasm at the end of the season ;)

As long as we're safe, it's all good.

But yeah, I think we're definitely aiming for a top 10 finish now.
Anything under 12th or so and I might be slightly disgruntled.
Need to get as high as possible to show our players we're serious and hope they sign new contracts! Namely Jose and Joey
 
Just a note, this is what you'd be happy with! I'm expecting to finish top 10 (8th or 9th) but i would still be very happy with 10th - 12th.
 
Can't see us finishing anywhere near 17th now. At the start of the season i would have taken 17th as survival was our biggest target. But we have played well and are sitting in 9th and could quite possibly go 6th on Saturday if results go our way! Either teams have became rubbish or were just better than anyone thought we were, but i would love Europe ( for more money revenue, and the ability to attract bigger players to the club. And to prove most pundits wrong! ) But i'd happily take anywhere between 10th and 6th now.
 
I have always said 17th. but for us to finish there now, it would mean a terrible run of form. So I suppose I would be unhappy if this were to happen. Top 12 would be good, top 10 great, and I dare not think about anything higher.
 
There is no question that considering our current position, combined with our points per game ratio and games remaining we should be aiming for Europe.

Why would this not be the target?
 
I dont see why our main target shouldn't be europe now.

Top 10 and I will be delighted, top 12 and I will still be happy.

I'd say 12th at the least anything below that and I'd be pissed, we have a lot on injured players coming back so fancy us to stay where we are. Would love to squek 6th which is the highest we can finish.
 
I've gone for 8th or 9th. We are ninth now and it is a fair position based upon our performances to date. I see no reason why we should not be able to continue to perform to that level and our run in is ok, so I don't see why we shouldn't continue to perform to this standard until the end of the season. An exceptional run of form from Everton or Villa could put this at risk but I think we will stay ahead of them.

Coming into the season though I would have taken 17th with both hands, so barring a major loss of form I think we are heading for an encouraging final position.
 
I always said 17th was the minimum, I hoped for top half but expected us to be about 13th.

For me it's all about the Mackems now (Europe made almost impossible by Brum beating Arsenal). One point separates the teams with ten to play. Game On. <ok>
