"Sports Entrepeneur Adam Pearson has vowed to make a return to football and named Leeds United as his dream club to do that with.

Pearson, who is turning his attention to the recruitment market with Pro Sports Recruitment (PSR), is well-known to Yorkshire and Humber sports fans, having sat on the board of some of our biggest Clubs.

He previously owned and chaired football clubs Hull City and Derby County and is former director of Leeds United. Speaking to insider, he has also insisted he will make a return to the game.

"I will definitely get back into football," Pearson said. "I'm just looking for the right opportunity. I would like to go in with a consortium with a Club that has huge potential."

When pushed for a name, he added: "The one that stands out is Leeds United."

"Everybody in Leeds needs that club back in the Premier League. A city of this size should have a Premier League club."

Leeds doesn't need a Premier League club. They should stay miserable and rot as a mediocre/bottom half Championship Club. ;)

Adam Pearson is a ****. I hope he goes to Leeds, that will be any chance of promotion flattened in one fell swoop.
 
Pearson was at Leeds before he came to Kingston :grin: It's only natural for him to have an affinity with the place and he did well for us when he was here, so good luck to him.

Surely Udders should be his ideal club. I bet if you asked every single poster on this board his / her ideal club to own they wouldnt name the one that makes most money but the one they love.

Doesnt it say a lot about the man that he is more motivated by money than the club he supposedly supported all his life?

No surprises, wouldn't berate him for being a businessman, will be the same if the Allams ever shaft us. Support the club not the businessmen running it.
 
The man's an idiot.

He's had two seasons in the PL, changed the manager twice, got relegated twice.

I really hope he goes to Leeds.

Leeds is business investment, it could be worth far more than it is now, Huddersfield already has a wealthy owner and doesn't offer much of a business opportunity at all.

He's motivated by the desire to add value and get a return, just as he did with us, it's simple economics.

Exactly, that was precisely my point. Who would you like to own if you could choose any football club in the UK?

He might have got lucky with the Brown appointment initially, Parkinson/Dowie were a joke but Brownie was a spent force in his final few months he just boobed with Dowie. Peter Taylor was a great appointment though. I hope the Allams have a strong enough affinity towards us now not to walk away when they have made the profit they want or if they think they have hit a brick wall in that regard, I respect their efforts for charity round here.

Yes, of course he can, I didnt say anything to suggest he couldnt. Im saying his revelation here offers an insight into his character when most football fans in the world (Im guessing) would rather own the club they love. Next to playing for them and then managing them it's surely the dream.
