You had 90 minutes to think of that.

    Appalling.

    Can we close this thread?

Honestly, what is it all about?

Some fools using it to have a moan and a dig at Adam Pearson?

What's the point? He saved our club from ruin and left us with no debt and 2 divisions hight.................FACT!

I don't care why he did it, just like I don't why footballers score goals or play for Hull City.

Only the hypocrites would cheer each time a player scores or cheers them onto the pitch and then moans at the motivation behind why an individual should do nothing but good for the Club.

Close the thread it's pointless. No more comment from me.

Couldn't agree more. So what if the guy chases money, he never shafted us to get it like many chairmen have in the past.

I'm not actually buying Manchester United, so it's not really an issue, you asked me a hypothetical question, I gave you a hypothetical answer. AP bought us, took us to a new stadium and without him I have no doubt that we wouldn't be where we are now, nor would we have experienced Premier League football.

He was not a City fan, he bought the club as he saw it as a business opportunity, exactly the same would be true if he bought Leeds.

The serious ****e comment was mainly aimed at Percy, who can't help but spout ****e every time he sees any mention of Adam(presumably because he's still traumatised by the Bic incident).

Anyone who doesn't appreciate the benefit we saw from AP getting involved at Hull City is ****ing mong, in my humble opinion.

It's business first with these guys like Lambrettaman says. They don't have any deep rooted concern for our clubs. Thats why we should stay wary, even if they seem like heroes like the Allams, you don't know what their business aims are and why should you.

With the Allams I'm convinced they aren't in it for business purposes (after all this club isn't a business, certainly wasn't when they took over and won't be for a while yet). I think it's all about being loved for them, that's why they're in it. The only thing to be wary of with the Allams is their way of going about it and I still worry about how many proper football people we have at the club. I know Nick Thompson and he's probably a great MD but he isn't a football man like Adam was and we could have another situation like the Barmby one literally any time while there are no people with football understanding at the club.

You might be right but Adam wasnt a football man at one stage. Wasnt he at M&S? They have to start somewhere.

Fair points regarding the club as a business but it's the stadium and the area around it that they are looking to develop

But if they have to buy a club with £40m debts to do so they're unlikely to make money any time soon. I think we were about the worst possible English club to buy at the time if you were looking to make money.

They will have took on board the debt for one of two reasons : A- They are heroes. B- They have a long-term business goal. I suppose it depends which one of those you believe.

It's somewhere between the two. They want to be heroes, I'm sure that's the biggest reason. Their long-term goal is probably more to do with improving the club and the ground etc.

I think it's somewhere between the two myself. I wouldn't berate Pearson for his interest in Leeds he's just being honest. Maybe berate him for Dowie but it was mostly good other than that with him!

Pearson is a businessman who cares about himself and his business interests shocker!

Honestly, if he didn't think like that, he'd be begging for coppers. He's made a few bad decisions, who hasn't, but overall he knows what he's doing. He helped us out but was way past his sell by date for us when he was sent on his way. He was useful to us, we were useful to him.

I honestly hope he does go to TWS because he peaked when he was with us, and won't achieve anything like that success with them, but they'll convince themselves they deserve top tier footy. Twats.
