Really makes me cringe hearing people call him Ackun to his face. How can they not pick it up when his name has been pronounced correctly dozens of times whilst they've been sat there?

Although he was kind enough to tell us his Twitter account so we can unfollow him as appropriate.

****ing hell, Acun was the one who said our income is second only to the recently relegated clubs. I listed them then said maybe WBA and Norwich. I then pulled out their accounts to show what their commercial revenue was in the last reported period, rather than doing what you did and saying "I've never heard of that sponsor they must be bobbins".

Desperate to start an argument you are.

SYD accuses someone of being desperate to start an argument.<laugh> Irony is alive and well!

So you’re saying we’re in a better position than Norwich <laugh>

No. They sell more tickets at 40% higher prices than us. Already have a state of the art training set up.
My Norwich supporting acquaintance thought they were head in for problems with parachute payments running out.Delia Smith and her husband have done well, but aren’t worth much in football ownership terms. Now someone has come aboard with quite a bit of money so things are looking better. Still will have FFP issues like the rest of us.

Hook line and sinker there

We'll just have to and see if we get the players in. He's promised 3 are coming this week. So we'll just have to wait. But, we do need to take it with a pinch of salt though as this has been promised all summer.

This was to plum
I’m assuming you’re hoping we don’t get three in by that exact timescale so you’ll have something to whinge about.

Well, all in all, a much needed and excellent Q&A with Acun, appearing to reassure the most pessimistic of fans (I hope).

I think we can all relax and be excited about what’s to come in the next few weeks.

Let’s hope we can get some decent wingers and strikers in now before the season starts - that would be my priority! UTT.

Just for the record, on this occasion you bought up Norwich all by yourself, no baiting required.

That was good on the whole. Some concerning rumours quashed and another reminder of his passion and openness.

I found it a bit strange that he wasn't more focused on the transfer activity to date (or lack thereof) since that is surely the biggest reason for the unrest which led to this emergency Q&A. He didn't really try to explain it. It's good that he's confident we're getting loads of players in soon, but I don't really believe it's as imminent as he implied. I'd be surprised if we had more than two players in this week, and I won't be surprised if it's zero.

As there's two players having medicals today, you'd expect them to definitely be here in time and it sounded like at least one other was just about done.
