As there's two players having medicals today, you'd expect them to definitely be here in time and it sounded like at least one other was just about done.

I don't think he said two having medicals today did he? From what I heard it was just "Two coming; one almost coming...".

Even if they are having medicals today, I just find it hard to believe we're going to sign several players in the next three days without their identities being already known. It always takes us a good few days, often a week or even much longer to finalise and complete transfers after the point at which they're known to be close. If we don't know who they are, then I struggle to believe they're that close. I can see Burns being done given that his medical was reported as being today and a deal done. But even then I wouldn't be surprised if it dragged on as they so often do.

That was good on the whole. Some concerning rumours quashed and another reminder of his passion and openness.

I found it a bit strange that he wasn't more focused on the transfer activity to date (or lack thereof) since that is surely the biggest reason for the unrest which led to this emergency Q&A. He didn't really try to explain it. It's good that he's confident we're getting loads of players in soon, but I don't really believe it's as imminent as he implied. I'd be surprised if we had more than two players in this week, and I won't be surprised if it's zero.
The stated plan a few weeks ago was that we would do most of our business towards the end of the window. Given that’s evidently unchanged, maybe he didn’t feel it necessary to repeat the message.

That would be my only criticism of the event too. No one really dared to say the current situation wasn’t good enough, despite the reasons given. I guess the actions just need to follow the words now and we’ll see by the end of the season whether this approach has paid off.

I still believe we will have success and challenge for top 6 and I am also relieved he is not on his way!

So we spunked a lot in January which was speculated on here and can’t spend till we sold greaves philo and Tufan
Acun says we’re waiting till the end of the window
This has put us in a much weaker bargaining position
We could definitely have got more for them
And he alluded to the fact we can’t spend what we got cos of ffp
Let’s hope these new players coming in are going to hit the ground running
This is putting a lot of pressure on Tim
We play a high risk game now
If heads go down with defeats he won’t be here long as players lose belief quickly
Fingers crossed it’s all going to come good but for me the warning signs are all there no matter how’s smooth and reassuring acun is

I was a little apprehensive going into it this morning. With the rumours of him wanting to sell and with the last Q&A being an absolute car crash.

But very pleasantly surprised at how positive it was. Calmed some nerves and to give a definitive answer "0% chance of selling the club". Brilliant.

My one annoyance is the question about Hughes - talking the finances of what is probably a hugely complex deal. Acun being the excitable big kid he is, has now confirmed our interest. I get that it's probably already well known, but I don't like when we mention specific players before they've signed. We've seen in backfire too many times!

Otherwise, he played it excellently.

No. They sell more tickets at 40% higher prices than us. Already have a state of the art training set up.
My Norwich supporting acquaintance thought they were head in for problems with parachute payments running out.Delia Smith and her husband have done well, but aren’t worth much in football ownership terms. Now someone has come aboard with quite a bit of money so things are looking better. Still will have FFP issues like the rest of us.
Parachute payments is the big one with them, they've got a few players, Rowe, sara and sergeant who are all potential 15-20m players, would be surprised if more than 2 of them are still there come end of august

I can be a critic of him at times but he came across as a very honest individual today and I respect him making the effort to quash the rumours doing the rounds...Although there are some language barriers, his English is far better than my Turkish.

Rumours posted on here that he was selling up were way wide of the mark and he's given a definitive answer.Obviously we're not ready for Saturday,he acknowledges that but assures us he'll have things in place by the end of the Month.

I'll go along with that...[/TE]
Your first sentence. . that's why I was perhaps getting wound up by some of the stupid rumours and comments earlier. He's done literally nothing in 2 and a half years for us to have grounds to question his honesty and genuiness in relation to our club.
