True that People on other forums are already getting on his back, calling him **** and what not because he left his shooting boots at hom on Saturday.
He was playing like he was never going to make it at Arsenal, so people were saying he would never make it at Arsenal. Am I missing something here?
So the people who said Ramsey wouldn't ever become a good player, and wouldn't be good enough for Arsenal haven't been proved wrong?
He was not playing like ****, and he always looked like he would become a top player. You just couldn't see it.
He was abysmal and looked destined to be a pub team player. How you can say he didn't look crap is beyond me.
He didn't look crap. And a load of you went way OTT with the criticism. He is currently well and truely proving you negative whingers wrong.
Take a few coaching courses; your appreciation of the game will be greatly enhanced. The finer points of the game might not be beyond you then.
The point is that Ramsey never looked like becoming a good player, so they were justified in saying it. The only reason it's being brought up now is because of one or two angry fans who took the criticism personally. They want to lord Ramsey's good form over everyone else like some kind of trophy for their "criticism is always wrong" agenda. The criticism wasn't wrong, he looked like failing at Arsenal, and he surprised nearly everyone by getting better. If it was a surprise, then obviously the critics were being realistic.
To be fair fella, it wasn't just gent. Although he might be the only one who is still saying it There were a fair few people saying that 'He's got no football brain' 'no end product' 'all he has is pace' 'Not good enough for Arsenal' etc. I've no problem when people say a player has had a crap game or a crap run of games, what I think the whingers need to admit is that comments like 'pub player' and 'will never be good enough' were OTT and blinded them to the fact that players like Walcott and Ramsey were slowly improving all the time during their difficult spells. Also remember that these are two players who both had the early parts of their careers ravaged by injury and who have now, through hard work and determination, come back to prove the doubters wrong and become key players in this Arsenal team.
He always looked like being a good player, he never looked like ****. You were wrong, and there were enough people supporting Ramsey to make your insistence that you were correct, illogical. Now stop being a child, admit you were wrong, and move on.
Agreed, He had some terrible performances but you could always still he see he had ALOT of natural ability. Also he had a few very good performances that went completely overlooked.
Yep, our midfield at the beginning of last season (and the season before) was a complete mess. They were not working well as a unit and blaming any one individual was unjust. Same thing happens when you try and blame one CB, or criticize a full-back when he his being abandoned by his winger. Ramsey has a real team spirit and tries to cover for everyone. What it ends up happening, is even if someone else makes a mistake, he ends up being the last man around the ball and gets the blame.
I admit to criticizing Ramsey heavily over the last few seasons. Before his injury, he was playing brilliantly and I always though he had the ability. However, I became convinced that he would never recover mentally from the leg break and his performances were not good enough for a long period. I called for him to be loaned out as I didn't think he was good enough at the time for our first team. I am delighted that he has proven me wrong and is starting to realize his potential.
Wilshere has not played particularly well since his return from injury but he doesn't get the abuse that was given to Ramsey.Ramsey suffered a terrible injury and on his return was played out of position on occasion. It took him a while to return to his best form and frankly some of the abuse he took was disgusting
Deluded moron. I wasn't wrong. You seem to be grouping everyone you despise into one foul entity again. Take your pills and have a lie down.
I know (Gerv was the worst), but TT said that Rambo's never looked awful, when he clearly has. Regarding Wilshere, the reason he doesn't get the stick Ramsey did is because he's English, and the fans and media see him as England's great hope. Ramsey's welsh, so it's open season on him. I personally think he's (Wilshere) been dire since he returned from injury and doesn't warrant a starting place when everyone is fit.
When you said, "The point is that Ramsey never looked like becoming a good player..." You were wrong. He did look like becoming a good player and enough people could see it, to make your judgement faulty. Now stop lying as well.
