I can confirm what DMD is saying, I've been in dialogue with the SMC also (regarding the Cobb Morley banner, which will be finished this weekend by the way). They told me anything that is going to be attached to the structure, whether it be a banner, TV box or scaffolding for the TV cameras has to be authorised by the company who built the stadium to see if there will be any structural integrity caused by the new addition. Specifically, the banners we've been discussing with them in the gaps causing a 'sail effect' which is why it's been hard to find a location due to all of the sponsors as we can't cover any of them.

Amidst everything else being discussed, I think your talent and hard work is in danger of being overlooked.

I believe your input has been the single most important one of all of us involved.

I just hope that it gets recognised and appreciated as much as it deserves.

Aye agreed. A big well done to Mauled.

And you've done exactly as I suggested you would.

Your claim was that the club only reacted for fear of bad press. That's not true based on my 1st hand experience.

The structural argument was one of a number of points, and wasn't even raised by the club, they did challenge it and are looking at solutions, as they want it too.

If you put your engineering opinion in writing, along with your supporting evidence and calculations, I'm more than happy to take them to the club for them to show the engineers. That'd be wins all round.

That's nothing more than a smartarse answer

I have said they did not say it, simply that it is a bloody daft thing to bring up in relation to that banner

Though the flags have come out great, they really need to be repositioned to have some impact, particularly the new one, which was completely hidden during yesterday's game. I'm not sure what the answer is, taking them up and down between games must really limit the options.
