How we haven’t buried that game first half is obvious to all, slow, cumbersome or past it forwards.

We might sneak up in spite of it, or it might badly bite us on the helmet.

Given that we’ve played Charlton and Oxford away, plus Peterborough, I think ignoring the worries up front it’s a great start.

That Bristol Rovers game still pisses me off now when I think about them. Horrific side hope they go down.

Speaking of teams that deserve the worst, Wycombe flying on zero points with a 0-10 goal difference.

Sheff Wed will catch them. Awful side and hopelessly out of their depth now.

If you look at the teams that go up they spend **** loads would we be able to do that? Likes of wolves, Leeds even the toon big spenders in championship but it worked.

Agree but we should be top 3 after 10 games, or Parky is on thin ice.

Surely it has to be worth a try. Better than creating nothing.

Now a draw away from a game we dominated, means I cannot whinge overmuch. Charlton were not very good, with their new owner they well get better.

The keeper over whom I have doubts was not really tested, so well done the defence,( until the sending off).

Elsewhere in the forum debate rages about Covid 19 and climate change and what are the facts.

For our so called strikers (we probably should not use that sobriquet for them) the facts are, they are non-scoring outfield staff atm. I would love the facts to change and for them to start banging in the goals, I would love it!

The simple fact is to win games we need to score goals...

To win promotion we need to win games.

If Wright's header, Graham's 6 yarder and his other chances gone in we wouldn't be talking so much about creativity. We created chances but also won at least a dozen free kicks and corners. Sadly most were wasted as were our chances to put in a decent cross. The strikers were at fault but the supply definitely needs to improve.

Having said that, the referees in this league ffs!

In our last three games we've 'been guilty' of way more fouls than the opposition, sometimes double the amount ... really?

Are we really worse than the diving, time wasting, fouling teams we come up against week after week?

And while I'm on a rant wtf is going on with the placement of throw-ins and free kicks. Charlton won a throw 5 yards inside their own half right in front of Bowyer. By the time it left his hands he was level with Parkinson who was screaming at the referee. This happened time after time.

Yet when O'Nien placed a free kick 3 yards from the half way line and touchline the referee made him roll it back a yard just to make a point, pathetic attention seeking behaviour.

We'll be due another apology soon ...

... shame we don't get extra points.

I had assumed that there were two reasons for PP being appointed.

The first being that he was the cheapest, feasible option available . The other that he would know the league and the p!ayers in it, and be able to pick up a decent forward none of us knew about that would get a few goals. Many of the teams we will play will have just such a player.

He should give Mick Mac a ring and ask him who he thinks might make it from the unknown crop. MM always had a good eye for players from nowhere .

I agree that refs have it in for us and seem to give the opposition the softest of free kicks.

Although Wyke (Graham is not so bad) does seem to have a pathological obsession in fouling any opposition player next to him when he gets the ball. Is there any stats of him and Graham time played and free kicks given away....?

In this league especially pace and power are king. We’ve lacked any pace and power for years. How come no one at the club ever addresses this?

Agree with the OP about 2 points a game. Keep that as an average and we'll get promoted and that's what I'll be judging old Parky on. Personally think we'll have the best defence in the division so as long as we can put our chances away a bit better than we have, we'll be sound.
