That is getting ripped to shreads this season, I cant even believe people think 4-4-2 is still an option to start a game, get out the dinosaur era.

Smug, I completely agree with you. Sess is one of the best players I have seen in a Sunderland shirt (got hammered on here for saying it), it's an interesting concept that some of our fans have that you can build a good team by getting rid of our best players, I would have thought that to build a good team you need 15 or 16 good players then a couple of decent players to polyfill.

Sometimes it takes a small step back to take huge strides

There is no way I want rid of sess like people keep saying he is the most talented player in our shirt I have seen.that does not mean he is guaranteed his place every game infact no one should be.he is a valuable member of our squad and should be kept if all possible.PDC is building a team I HOPE and I do not want our bestlayers sold.add to the squad and give him competition for places. I know people want him sold and they think he does not fit into the changing team.there want to end the money on quality replacements but you will get a lot less player for the six million bantered about for sess.lets still build the team and keep sess and use him as and when required

Totally agree mate, it's a squad game and Sess will not fit into every start, but guess what you get for £5m to replace him; Craig Gardner, David Vaughan, Danny Graham, need I go on?

Sess needs to go for Paolo to remain credible unfortunately. He's a very good player who's delivered at times and not delivered at times. Much like all players. His problem is probably the fact that when on form he is unbelievable which makes him out of form harder to accept.

On current form, his age as it is, his wages as they are (I doubt they're as high as 68k but will still be high) and the fact that he's been drink driving pretty much ties Di Canio's hands.

Most sensible post on this thread.

4-4-2 doesn't work in the modern game, you know that so why do people think that it does?

My point is that it was obvious that he was frustrated by playing alongside knackers who didn't see his runs, didn't get into position for a pass and couldn't even control a football.

I know this is a bit far fetched, but, bear with me ...... how would Messi play alongside plodders like McClean, Graham, Vaughan, Bardsley, Gardner, Seb, Colback etc?

I'm surprised he could get out of ****ing bed to be honest ..........

It would be like Kate Upton being marooned on a desert island with bunch of Eunuchs .... "Shall I get up and play with these 'no dicks' or toss meself off?"

Right, I'm calling you out on this one. Underhand tactics if ever I've seen them. All I can think about is the incredible Kate Upton friggin herself and I've not a ****ing clue what was being said.

I wanted him to to stay until the incident, I don't mind admitting it. I don't hate him, I hate what he's done.

All comes down to this for me. Only an injury has kept Bardo at the club. But the simple fact is a professional standard has been set. Consistency has to shown right across the board. The second it isn't and it becomes one rule for one, and one rule for another is the second Paolo will lose the respect from the dressing room. The Squad will go into chaos and the season becomes a very very long one.

I can't believe it's up for debate. His pros and cons are completely irrelevant as there's now a rule of thumb whether we like it or not.

Do you hate what Quinn's done mate ........ me and him have both driven when we've been to a match/event, as the driver, and celebrated a bit too much.

Am I 'a disgrace' for having 2 or 3 pints during a 3 hour drive to the game, 2 hours around the game, and 3 hours drive back?

In the eyes of the law, and some of the sanctimonious ****ers on here, I'm the scum of the earth.

Quinn was caught, I wasn't ....... I've never had a bump in 40 years.

Come on guys get real, Sess' really wasn't great. He showed flashes of brilliance, he had moments when he was great but he never managed to be consistently great or a threat.
Question - would he get into the Peter Reid teams that finished 7th. If so where would he play and for who? Now yes he maybe more talented than all the players in that team but those players made a very good team. So let's not get too carried away with him please. Am I pleased he is going well that all rather depends on who is coming in?
I think Paolo is looking to return to a 4-2-4 or 4-4-2, Fletcher a bit deeper an Jose looking to break. Hoefully Connor Comes good and we have real competition up front. Who knows if other forwards will be brought in but Sess as part of a front two didn't score enough. Maybe this gives us the money to buy that CM we are really craving?

If we do not buy anyone in this window I think we all agree we are going to struggle and I wouldn't be happy at this but for me Sess' best position is on the wing.

Most talented possibly? Best player no.

Will you stop having a pop at the board please?

Mate, I was just going to have a go at you but then read what you actually said. You are right, of course, but by selling our best players don't you think we are taking huge steps backwards to take small steps forward?

Think of Bruce getting rid of Keane's legacy, MON with Bruce's and now DiCanio with MON's, it doesn't take a genius to realise that we need to build on foundations of good players.

Will you stop having a pop at the board please?

Are you the elected spokesman like ....... can people not speak for themselves or do they need the likes of you to speak for them?

Where is that post 'having a pop at the board' in any way?

Please explain ......

Just read it again and you're talking ****e mate, aren't you?

I'm addressing 'sanctimonious ****ers' only ........ are you claiming that's 'the board' mate?
