he won more free kicks than any other player in the prem last season, so quite a few thought he was good
There were times, during the most boring season I've seen in 40 years, when it was only Sessegnon who reminded me it was actually 'top class' players we were be supposed to be watching. There are Sunderland 'legends' who have done less than Sessegnon but it seems an unstoppable hate campaign has begun.
The mob have spoken, so that's the end of it I suppose..........
Whatever you think we'd have been playing in the 2nd league without Sessegnon.
His winning goal at Newcastle, in the last derby, should afford him a little more respect than he's getting.
It's not like we have too many, in the last few decades, who have done that.
Some people, who are mocking him, should remember the likes of Bramble, Bardsley, Kilgallon and Graham.
The thing is with Sess even when he is not playing well he is still better than the other ten on the pitch.
We WILL miss this guy if we sell him, and we can't replace him for 5m that's for sure.
Yes those players were rubbish as well,
There is no way I want rid of sess like people keep saying he is the most talented player in our shirt I have seen.that does not mean he is guaranteed his place every game infact no one should be.he is a valuable member of our squad and should be kept if all possible.PDC is building a team I HOPE and I do not want our bestlayers sold.add to the squad and give him competition for places. I know people want him sold and they think he does not fit into the changing team.there want to end the money on quality replacements but you will get a lot less player for the six million bantered about for sess.lets still build the team and keep sess and use him as and when requiredSmug, I completely agree with you. Sess is one of the best players I have seen in a Sunderland shirt (got hammered on here for saying it), it's an interesting concept that some of our fans have that you can build a good team by getting rid of our best players, I would have thought that to build a good team you need 15 or 16 good players then a couple of decent players to polyfill.

I strongly disagree. Fletcher and Mignolet were the two outstanding reasons we stayed up last year, one for his goal threat and the other for stopping the opposition. Sess has been nothing but a shiny trinket throughout all that time, generally offering little goal threat or creative spark.
In patches he has been unplayable but how man times? 2 or 3 memorable games last season and maybe 3 or 4 the one before in seasons we finished bottom half (4th bottom last season). I'm not saying it was all down to him but so much of our team set up has been based around accommodating him, only to find the main attraction fluffed his lines during games all too often.
Is that really a player that will be missed? Not by me.

Anybody remember stoke and Southampton at home at the end of last season?
Think everyone knows I loved the lad.
That said, after the start to the season he's made, and the DD incident, well I care about Sunderland football club.
I got over Marco & Kev, I'll get over this.
You think that Sessegnon is 'rubbish' ........ you never saw Gareth Hall did you?
