Yeah it's safe to say he weren't top of my wish list but then he does only need to be better than Winks and Sissoko to get in - and thus improve - our team, and that's a really, really low ****ing bar.

I’m not sure he achieves those dizzy heights tbh. Thought Walker-Peters would get a chance given Aurier should be playing for Hendon.

Our bar is Tom Davies mate and I still didn’t want him.

That’s how much I rate him.

Most would prefer that but I think he wants out. That Saints loan came about three years too late, we just kept him around doing **** all for the most part. If we'd loaned him out for a couple years when he first came up from the development squad he'd probably be our first choice RB now.

The only thing I'm clinging onto is that our signings from Saints over the years have been brilliant. Hoping he don't break the mould.

Very much hoping.

Looks like us and Saints are close to completing the deals for Hojbjerg and Walker-Peters from either club..

£15m for Hojbjerg.
£12m for KWP.

Not overly keen on Hojbjerg personally but £15m seems pretty decent.

One of our local journos has said it's bollocks and it's not close at all. He tends to be pretty reliable too and is close to the club.

Sounds like Levy trying to drive the price down. This will drag on for weeks and you'll get him towards the end of the window for sub £15m imo.

Levy being Levy and lowballing but hey, he can always say he tried.

Think it will work.

They know that we need to sell with him having a year left and needing the money to reinvest. Closer it gets to the end the more desperate we'll get and will end up accepting a lower fee.

Spurs wanna sign Hobnob from Saints?

@Spurlock spin this for me baby, cos i dont think he'd touch our bench.

As soon as he joined the Saints, he was made captain.

He played right back during Pep’s cup run which they won

only Pogba betters him for possession regains this season...exactly what we are looking for

plus with better players I expect him to improve

If he doesn’t join us he’s dogshit <ok>

Not sure about that, after the ****ed up season all teams need the money and most will want as much as they can get/value a player for.
Buying clubs won't want to pay and try to be sneaky but selling clubs will not want to lose any more money/value because they need it.

If a club sells a player they usually need to replace him (unless he is a none starter) so will not gain any benefit from selling cheap.

Not sure what Saints paid for him, but don’t accept the low offer, take him for another year and make him see out his deal, maybe help secure a cup/EL football.

Yeah saw on Twitter some saying reports had jumped the gun. Reckon it’ll be done soon though. Both players seem to wanna join the other club and both managers want the respective player so it’s hard to see this falling apart, even by our standards.

Realistically speaking, if Tottenham want their man and actually put the effort in, they'll get him.

Btw, how does a man like Levy have control of a club like Spurs, makes no sense.

Problem with Levy is from a business perspective he’s done a lot of good for us but his footballing decisions at times have been utter ****.

Best thing we could do is hire a proper DoF so that Levy takes a back seat on the football side of things and let him focus on drumming up business/ sponsorships/ stadium events etc, he’s great at that.
