Shouldn’t the title of this drop back to a Saint Daniel! Thread, so we can change it back to Confirmed: Saints Sign Daniel Peretz ?
I’ll be impressed if anyone signs before the Eckert situation has FA resolution.
Fair play. Would have thought any keeper in a 21 game unbeaten run including the prem chapions arsenal and fulham would be in high demand across Europe yet he is considering us. Wonder if the value has gone up/changed from the mandatory if we got promoted.
Even more positive than the previously posted interview with Israeli sports press saying how much he enjoyed SFC and Southampton (can't find the clip and comments re my positivity at the time).
DP has said how much he enjoyed his time at Saints. Perhaps his wife has also expressed her desire to stay in Southampton?

I think Peretz had an agreed price regardless of promotion, Larin had one that was automatically activated on promotion. So Larin’s £3m or whatever it was is the fee that might change
Question with Peretz is whether other teams will come in for him and, presumably, Bayern would accept £7m from anyone at this stage and let him decide where he wants to go

And maybe Larin’s situation is that the fee is agreed but was automatic on promotion and optional if we didn’t get promotion. That would be the ideal scenario
Please let this be true. Hopefully it would help influence other key players to stay, and provide a statement of intent for transfer targets to join us.
Yes I’ve seen the reports but transfers can change very quickly and if another team decides to come in for him in the next day or something then things can change.
Sounds like he is happy to stay which is great, and I think not what most expected. Another team comes in and whilst he’s happy to stay he’d prefer to go there is definitely a scenario that could happen. Hopefully get the deal tied up quickly and early.
His interviews have all been positive about the club and city so not so surprising.
For me, if this happens, it's bigger than Leo staying. Peretz was a huge reason for the unbeaten run imo.
Maybe all the reports of players being pissed off are wide of the mark.
The camaraderie built in the last 4 months of the season could sway players decisions and everyone likes playing in a winning team.
We may be pleasantly surprised by the strength of our squad by September.
