My grandfather was a proper Spurs fan back in the day. Took me to the old WHL plenty of times and he’s been turning in his grave for the best part of two years so if these ****s could stumble over the line for him that would be great, as much as the banter in my Jewish WhatsApp groups will be popping off should the unthinkable happen.

A where was you/what were you doing when the mighty Tottenham got relegated from the Premier League
Well not the Premier League, but if you're talking about the First Division, I was at White Hart Lane, Saturday 14 May 1977. We beat Leicester 2-0 but it wasn't enough (can't remember the permutations, but it was much less likely we would stay up). It's one of those times that you can contrast the difference between then and modern times. The attitude of the supporters for one thing is very different. Not complaining, but different times. After the game a lot of people went on the pitch (the only time I've ever done it). We sang "we'll support you ever more" among other things. Today at best we'll get a protest at worst there will be some vandalism to the stadium.

Finally, Muani dropped and Porro or Spence playing further forward.

It's only taken him a month to see the wisdom in that idea.

No one’s got their shooting boots on then, Gallagher, Danso and Palhinha all firing poorly.

Probably the last three you want chances falling too, mind.
