I don’t think he’s ****e and he’s not a number 6 anyway.

We need a number 6 and hopefully that’s what Hadžiahmetović is. He’s composed receiving the ball deep under pressure and protecting the defence. He’s similar to Alzate but better defensively.

I feel Gyabi might be incorrectly profiled as a defensive midfielder due to his height. He’s a ball-carrying box-to-box midfielder and we still need another number 8 anyway due to Puerta not signing.

Hopefully we can get Hadziahmetovic over the line and the Kamara delay doesn't scupper it, I feel we'd have a massive piece of the puzzle missing if so...

Yeah really ****e that we signing a player who is capped at most levels up to England U21's, played in a Plymouth Team that had a bad season but still did ok, at Man City and Leeds, we really must start looking at players from Barcelona or Bayern.
Bought/sold at Man City for suspected ffp reasons.

He played a total of 1 minute for Leeds in the championship, and 7 minutes in the prem.

Played in a Plymouth team that got relegated.

No I’m not suggesting we buy players from champions league clubs, just pointing out we’re buying ****e thanks to Acun.

Gyabi. Only 21. Capped all the way through, with most caps at U20, so there has to be something there. And now got that important season of Championship experience under his belt. Adds more needed height.
Hope this gets done, along with Alphabet.

Playing for England U21 is a big deal. KLP, Morton, Delap and Philogene have done that for us in recent years but Bowen and Greaves never did, so that should say something about the standard.

We are not buying ****e we can't pay a fee, so a deal that is costing us nothing apart from a wage with potential to earn in the future if he does well and we sell.

I wonder if part of that is that they actually enjoy the increase in controversy. Players, coaches and fans get annoyed by it but you can see how pundits and TV coverage commoditise all the drama; maybe it actually leads to higher viewing figures.

I genuinely have no idea why football has been so reluctant to use a challenge system.

1 challenge each half, lost if used incorrectly.

Only captain can challenge. Only time VAR gets involved is when the challenge goes in. Would cut down on accusations that it’s slowing the game down and clubs only have themselves to blame if they are wronged.

I'm sure there was a conversation on here yesterday talking about how Bristol City take players from relegated clubs and how that's worked a charm!

Yes I believe it said something like the best of league one, I’m not sure he would fall under this category but I guess we’ll find out soon enough

Can’t Maribor buy players and loan them too Hull?

Technically yes. But they won’t because any player they have that’s good enough to be a Hull City player will be needed by them. They don’t exist just to provide us with players.

It’s like Watford and Udinese, if they smash it for Watford they end up there, depriving Watford of their best players.

Surely in this instance, they could buy and loan him to Hull.

The wording of this is weird. It makes it sound like Laalaoui is still our player but can’t play until he’s registered. If so, why is it any different from Puerta?
I read “but that deal was not sanctioned by EFL” to mean the opposite and clearer than recent statements about the player.
