Well after a few beers and a lot of reading and reflection on the situation I think it’s time to take more beer on board and reflect again while waiting for the outcome of this saga
I posted it a good 3 weeks or so ago. As with everything info was passed on in good faith. Still leaving his job moved the goalposts and we moved on from MaricSeen that floating around RTG. I just don't think I believe it. Sounds schizophrenic
If the rumours are true that he was about to sign and offered contract then did a u turn as soon as another club showed interest, do we really want him as our manager ?

I’m not even saying that’s how I feel. But after the disaster of a season we’ve just had, a new head coach coming in and bringing a full set of new staff surely couldn’t be seen as a bad thing ffsThe same thought process means you want to get rid of all the players too? The head coach sets direction and tactics. Doesn’t mean those asked to carry them out or drill them into the players aren’t capable. Each head coach has one or two trusted lieutenants, if the rest ain’t broke why go the expense, hassle and upheaval of changing them?
there is a slim chance that Stills agents are still just trying to get us to do exactly that
A source that hadn't let me down on incoming transfers yet.Reliable source? Rubberface?

As with all the rumours posted, people take them as they see fit.Fair enough. I'm going to have to remain sceptical simply for my sanity rather than out of distrust.
If the club is indeed behaving that headlessly, I will lose the last little bit of patience I'm clinging on to.
Heard owt else ?A source that hadn't let me down on incoming transfers yet.
Just what's already been posted by others, I've been a bit side tracked this week with more important things to be honestHeard owt else ?
To be honest it’s not even the fact of whom the manager is, the biggest issue for me amongst all of this is that this bloke was our top target. I couldn’t care less if that target was Still or someone else. We’ve been courting him for months it’s common knowledge whether people want to believe it not. But why would we not pay the compensation to get him before his contract ended when we’ll happily go and piss £2m up the wall on Mundle in the middle of the season? Another £1.5m or whatever on Hjelde?
Just seems a bit like the only thing that’s important is trying to make money on young players. As someone rightly pointed out yesterday we DO spend money.. but are we spending it wisely? We won’t spend the wages to get in some quality experience nor spend the money to get our preferred managerial target but dangle an 18 year old in front of us and the club goes full Jimmy Saville.
Definitely does equally we have to stop thinking Dodds being good at what he does means we can’t replace him with better, calling for managers/coaches/players leaving is only beneficial if we get better in, calling for coaches/players staying presumes we won’t get better. Recruitment is so important and that’s why I think it’s time to upgrade our team and approach. We’ve had too many misjudgments recently to do nothing, it would be madness. That doesn’t mean we have to change it all.Depends if they're any good I suppose ...
I get what you say but my top target for years has been Salma Hayek. Now i'm very happy with my wife as the reality Salam was probably beyond my reach. To be honest it’s not even the fact of whom the manager is, the biggest issue for me amongst all of this is that this bloke was our top target. Have you considered that Still said he wouldn't leave Reims midseason?
Yeah this is Speakman‘s make or break transfer window. Fail to improve the squad with experienced players in the positions needed then he hast to go for meSarcasm aside, yes. He might sign a centre forward who is ready to contribute to the team.
We will see.
If the team doesn't go forwards again. He's run out of time and chances.
I'm not disagreeing with you. I'm maybe just a little behind you in the race to call for his head

As they say, if you don't give it a go you never know.
We see players agents courting the media to get the best result for their client, i'd guess that they do the same for managers that they represent
