I was told this once about any struggle for, or transition in power in Russia. From someone who grew up in the " Eastern Block" as it used to be called.
" You can see the dogs fighting under the carpet, but you can't tell which one has prevailed until it emeges."
That sounds like what's coming up there again. A coup is rarely clean and quick, and never in Russia. But those who have spent twenty years or so grovelling to Putin will be looking around now, and wondering who they might be grovelling to next.
Liquid and volatile.
Stalin could literally get away with murder because he could easily control information.
Putin is living in the age of the internet ...
... as we all know things can escalate very quickly on here.
All you need are for Russian soldiers to think 'f*ck this for a game of soldiers' and Putin would look seriously weakened. Without the army he's just a daft old man shaking his fist.
Yep. He is wounded already. The Russians are used to more or less all powerful leaders.
This is very unhealthy, but when that sheen has vanished, as it has now with Putin, time will do the rest. Quite possibly followed by another paranoid nutter.
He’s another **** I would gladly see the back of.You must log in or register to see media
