Sunderland winger Patrick Roberts has given high praise to manager Alex Neil

Perhaps the expectation and the size of the club have played a role in the club’s overdue stay in League One but if it has, then it’s been a different situation this time around according to Roberts. It starts from the top and the manager has had the coolest head. “He’s huge” continued Roberts. “He’s come here and been the calmest man around the place. He has an idea tactically of what to do. He’s been fantastic.

“Even with players like me, I’d never come across him before but he’s trusted in me. He’s told me to work hard and he’s given me that faith to go on in these games. I’ve played every game since he put me in. I’m just glad he came in. He’s brought me on a lot and he’s been fantastic.”

Switched off on 40 secs when he said Sheff Wed were "all over" us in the semi final. **** off were they

EDIT: Forced myself to sit through it. Laughable comment after 20 mins of 2nd half when it had apparently "been all Wycombe" and the comment about Wycombe having "so many chances, just not enough quality"

Other than the Vokes shot after Wright misjudged the ball I can't remember a single chance they had.

Think he was just clutching at anything Wycombe wise as he was showing it from their perspective, he did big up our crowd and accepted it was a fair result.
Was nice to see how much of the stadium we took up, hadn't realised how far round our top tier went.

Aye, the video was impressive and I watched it for that reason alone.

this is fascinating stuff and deserves a wider audience. I must confess I did not spot or know about Wycombe's full pitch man marking before or during the game. Now its evidenced its clear to see how we were able to dominate. And also why Embo played ahead of Clarke. Even if we all kinda know why these things happen, seeing them broken down like this really shows how fecking clever our manager is.

Massive thanks to everyone who made my day, bought me drinks and appreciated my efforts sorting the pub, the tickets, etc.

I had an absolutely amazing day with Sid, RTB, Mike, Malaga, Rhino, Paul, Bank of England, Davey, Norton Cat, Chunks, Spitfire, Wakey, Cris, Kev, Nick, Sheff, Grumpy, etc etc etc.

Thank you everyone, it's what being a Sunderland supporter is all about.

Thanks and God bless.

It was great to meet you, The Professor and many more brilliant fans at The Argyle. My family thought you were a cracking bloke. All in all a brilliant weekend. Our fans in the stadium were loud and proud and our team were magnificent.

Loads of locals/neutrals coming up to us in the street to add their congratulations. Awesome! Can't wait for the transfer window to open.

If you look past that you can see from his few sat in the Wycombe end how class out fans looked and sounded.

Found out this morning that a girl from work was at a show in the West End on Saturday night. She walked by Trafalgar Square on the way back to her hotel…she was initially quite worried about such a big group of football fans all together and clearly pissed (no idea why!) but as she got closer and spoke to a few in Red and While realised how joyful everyone was she relaxed - so much so that she hung around for an hour, took a few drinks from her new friends and we are officially her second team now (she’s been a Fulham supporter since she was 10).
I think that nicely sums us up

I know that there are some on here who haven't a good word to say about Wycombe and our manager, but overall I have seen massive mutual love and respect from both sets of fans, and it is genuine. You have a lot of new fans now from Wycombe, hoping to see you progress back to the Premiership.

Appreciate you coming on and saying this.I have no issues with Wycombe, yous do what yous need to do and it works for yous. There's general consensus that we sunderland fans have a sense of entitlement, that we are bigger than we are, deserve to be in the Premier league when it couldn't be further from the truth. Most sunderland fans know where we are and deserve to be where we're at if that makes sense? in fact, only people I hear saying were a massive club is the media. This past weekend has went down as my favourite following sunderland. We've had a place to showcase ourselves and both sets of supporters done our respective clubs proud. I'll genuinely be keeping an eye out for Wycombe next season as we're forever bonded by a day out at Wembley. I have the same kind of respect for Charlton, the Wembley bond. Be good if we could meet in the cup next season and who knows the year after that. As sunderland supporters,I amongst others would be happy with a mid table finish with a scattering of stability. There's rumours we will have capital to push on as its been stated that our owner wants Premier leauge football, so who knows. Once again to reiterate, Mid table solidification with no drama. Good luck for next season mate.

I’m going to be possibly controversial here. I honestly think that’s the best I’ve ever felt after a game. And I include the mags wins in that. The euphoria was unbelievable. Can’t wait for next season now

My best weekend as a fan, (48seasons) without a doubt, in fact 4 days on I can't stop grinning like a Cheshire Cat.
