Just driven home from cricket with radio 5 on, **** me all I heard was whinging spuds saying "we have 38 away games this season" arse fans saying "we are doomed with wenger in charge, it's awful" even a manure twat saying "we have had it so bad this last 3 years", those ****s have no idea what it like to be a supporter of a real football team
We've come closer to winning the top division than Spurs in the last 50 years. They think they are an elite club but they aren't.

No thread for the England game? I'm in New York and we wandered into a sports bar, not realising that England were playing. When we got inside, they seemed to have every game going - England, Scotland, N.Ireland, Germany, Poland plus tennis and baseball. England looked pretty poor and we left while it was still 1-0 only to find that the final score was 4-0!

Anyone going to the Grenfell game? We're going to have breakfast in the bar we just left in the (probably vain) hope that they might have it on.

Where are you? Dona have breakfast in a bar go down to to village and have brunch, sit outside and enjoy the view of the weird people walking by. Go all the way down town to parts of old NY. Stone street is great for brunch.

We're on W57th near Central Park. The only reason for going back to this bar for breakfast would be in the hope of them having the Grenfell game on. We'll definitely be spending time in the Village.

Nice to see Conor unselfishly set up a tap in for Lafferty in Norn Iron win over San Marino.....

The club should be rightly proud of their efforts today. Shame some of the idiots in our fanbase thought it would be good to Boo Jamie Redknapp every time he touched the ball and not in a bantery kind of way.

Totally forgot about it. How was it?
Only watched on TV but there was a good turn out, not sure if it was a full sell out but pretty decent. Have to say 2nd half there was a time when Les, Andy Sinton, Marc Bircham, Kevin Gallen, Andy Impey, Trevor Sinclair and Clint Hill were all on the pitch at the same time. Frankly I'd be offering Clint a deal still. It was a good event, hope it raised a load of dough. Jose Mourinho even played in goal for the second half. They had a couple of lovely moments when they had firefighters come on a subs and some of the Grenfell survivors came on in the second half. Great success I'd say.

Also if anyone wants to donate 3 quid you just Text GRENFELL to 70007.

Heard there was a game up Everton way.
Team Rooney was playing a local filly.
Pretty much a bore-draw.
Hot night with lots of liquids consumed.
Got a bit touchy here and there.
Team Rooney bitterly disappointed with the end result with Team Rooney Director about to red card him for attempting to putt his balls out of bounds.
Media all over this overrated match.
Referees Association may be called in to verity the videotape.
More to come........

Got to shout out to my local team, Maidenhead United. This is their first ever season in the National League after 147 years in existence, and they are doing brilliantly. Seven points from their first four games, including a 4-1 away win at AFC Fylde last night. They have also beaten Hartlepool at home, drawn with Maidstone, and went down narrowly 2-1 to Wrexham.

Last season's record goalscorer, Dave Tarpey (who knocked in 45 goals last term) already has SEVEN goals to his name, including all four last night.

And - as if by magic in a reversal of the usual Mr Benn storyline - he disappears! Tarpey signed for Barnet on transfer deadline day - after which maidenhead travelled to league leaders Sutton Utd and beat them 2-0 :)

Looking at today's TV football schedule over here (a public holiday - Labour Day) it appears that the only matches being broadcast are Scotland v Malta or Germany v Norway and for some odd reason our match at Wembley v Slovakia is not being covered, although I'm sure I'll be able to find a dodgy stream somewhere.
