Preferably the latter, as it would mean that we won't be seeing Eden Hazard for the rest of the decade.

Doesn't the precious ickle Hazard PL flower only bloom once
every two seasons anyway ( "fracture" of its "ankle" or otherwise) ??

Reports out of Holland say that it wasn't just the allure of the Dortmund job that appealed to Peter Bosz, as he also couldn't wait to get the hell out of there due to the usual internal struggles that blight the club.

The crux of the issue was that, back in 2010, the club essentially split down the middle, with one faction following Cruyff while the other followed De Boer. The issue is that Bosz was from the Cruyff faction, yet the assistants - not assistant managers, you understand, but "assistants" - he was expected to work with (and certainly not allowed to replace) all came from the De Boer faction, and they were constantly trying to impede Bosz's work at the club, being openly critical of his tactics and training methods, even though they were quite obviously working.

Of particular note is one of those assistants who is getting the brunt of the criticism, and happens to have previous when it comes to falling out with managers he is supposed to be assisting: Dennis Bergkamp, and what is particularly damning is the fact that Bergkamp replaced their academy director Wim Jonk solely for political reasons, replacing him with Said Ouaali so he had a compliant ally for the next head coach he could constantly bitch and snipe about.

...and, of course, Goons are rushing to r/soccer to defend Bergkamp against these accusations, because they cannot accept the idea that someone who once played for them is a nasty little ****.

Liverpool have issued a full and unreserved apology for the manner in which they approached Van Dijk, and have officially ended all interest in the player.

Rumour has it that Klopp met with the player and his agent a month or so before the season ended. <doh>

That deserves a nice sarcastic round of applause. Or better still...

Is the apology for their attempted at tapping-up van Dijk, or is it for getting caught?

Given they also got reported for trying to tap-up Ziege and Dempsey, I think we can make a reasoned guess.
