It's been pointed out their apology from when they were caught trying to tap-up Dempsey sounded exactly the same as this one.
According to Jamie Carragher (Spurs Legend), someone at Anfield authorised the release of the story that Van Dijk wanted to come to Liverpool following an impressive performance at their meeting. I thought former Disney chief, Michael Eisner, bought Portsmouth?
Surely Liverpool apologising and withdrawing their interest in the player is irrelevant? They have now unsettled a player who has then publicly stated that Liverpool was his preferred destination. What kind of reception will Virgil What-a Dyck get from his teammates and fans now? Basically, Liverpool have disrupted a rival for 6th/7th/8th/9th (......) next season by destabilising their squad. Just because they have apologised and withdrawn doesn't mean they should not face any kind repercussions.
I would prefer they grass up Chelsky as being colluders in the act (who then get a 7 pt penalty backdated to last season) .
just buttering up RCL to get him to transfer from doing L'Arse matchday threads to ours. the rest of you southern heathens can stay & rot on your own board
Spurs 606 emulate our dark lord Darth Levy. For starters, for the rcl transfer to happen, you may have to guarantee at least 20 from your board lay into PIXIE and his segments the moment they start on HIAG on any PL board article.
think only Luv & Sky visit the PL board often so looks like yet another LFC transfer attempt goes tits up
considered it but worried that if the inducement wasn't acceptable it might lead to a sock flinging episode & no one wants that.
Garry Monk has taken over at Boro. Quite a demanding job, I'd have thought. Probably have a few quid to spend, though.
He managed to survive Cellino, and apparently the new guy wanted to keep him in place. And after finishing seventh, I'd have thought that would be a good platform to mount an assault on the Championship next season. I like Monk as a manager, so I reckon he'll find his feet at Boro easily enough, but he really needs to stay somewhere for a few years and prove he can maintain a team. One good season at Swansea, and one seventh place in the Championship do not a good manager make. It'll be interesting to see the reaction he gets at Elland Road next season too.
Everyone place your bets: how many different pronounciations of Leonid Slutsky's name will we hear next season?
