What contract did we offer him?

I think from memory we had Long and Jelly .. I also seem to think we were offering a further year from rumours at the time but didn't he get an extended contract at Forrest

Edit; sorry didn't read the link posted by OLM

HDM spin- who knows what was really on offer and all the factors?
Bottom line: he left the club to play for someone else and his injury problems re-emerged

Think you'll find the Macpherson report was in response to the death of Stephen LAWRENCE and correctly identified that in 1993 there were flaws in the investigation not least racisnm .. however the stat i referred to preceed this report by some 20 years or so .. and no i cant remeber where i read it before you ask .. but thanks for your input.

No need for thanks.

The most important thing being that we can be sure that whatever was claimed in the report of the early eighties you don't remember, the Met were found to be institutionally racist at the time of the Lawrence murder investigation and that successive Met Commissioners right up to the current one have admitted that they still are.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/ukn...epts-force-may-be-institutionally-racist.html

Their best excuse being that the whole country is.

I notice the Transport police have come out in support of the Met's attitude with their recent poster.

Jesus, it was a generalisation, a sweeping one. Some of you are ****ing drama queens. Calm your tits Susans.

If your comment is aimed at me, I would suggest you might listen to a conversation before butting in.

My post has nothing to do with the casually racist generalisation you refer to.

If it wasn't... forget it.

I am finding it interesting the people, and type of people, who seem happy to either accept or pretend casual racism doesn't exist.

Absolutely he's clearly lost the dressing room, is tactically naive and cant motivate the players anymore. He might just scrape through this year but he's found his level and they need to get rid after this season.

And on top of all that ..... the **** has no Plan B!

Lad please can you put your moral disclaimer on your posts of this nature.

Some people won't know of your Nuke All Whales ideology and think you have credibility.

Ah so my ethics on one particular subject should be applied to everything I believe in ever. Gotcha. What a wonderful way to live life that must be.

Erm. No? It was aimed at the people who were arguing against PLT anyway and decided that in order to strengthen their point, they'd play the race card.

Good to see the **** who provoked him into the head push get the winner tonight, along with his team's two red cards, what looked like a good goal, disallowed & Rafa whinging.

Shame.

Someone posts views which are clearly defined as casual racism. Refuses to apologise. Try's to paint himself as the victim.

You accuse people of pointing the obvious out of playing the race card?

Just. Wow.

You're a teacher?

****ing hell. You seriously need some education focussed on diversity.

I made a joke (allegedly, can't be arsed looking tbh, I vaguely recollect maybe saying something like "Well my tickets cheaper, yay!", which affected no one, and was more than likely made before the full details of the scheme were made public. I then made my position extremely clear, which you ignore as a retraction or an actual representation of my views on it, you focus on the initial joke and pay no heed to the actual position I have adopted, because of course, you like to pick at inconsequential bollocks and post endlessly on it. Seriously, what the actual **** has a post I made on the membership scheme, lost in the mists of time, got to do with what we're discussing here? Nothing, that's what. It's just you with your petty and vindictive nature trying to deflect from the actual discussion at hand. If I was a hypocrite, I would be posting about how I hate the scheme, whilst cradling in my arms a membership card. I don't have one. Hopefully that clears that up for you, and you can let it go, because honestly, there's nothing there.

Why not share with us all what YOU think about casual racism? Do you think it exists? Is it acceptable if it does? Should we ignore it because it makes us uncomfortable? Is it just bantz or generalisations that hurt no one?

Casual racism WAS the important thing here, certainly to me, and given subsequent responses I feel more than vindicated in highlighting it.

I note PLTs response just above, and it saddens me tbh.

It also saddens me to think he's more like his arch enemies, the Allams, than he would admit personality wise.

You say a lot to defend nothing, Happy Tiger.

I brought it up because of your hypocrisy.

I said my bit about PLT's post. Did you not see it through the mist?

I don't need to explain where I am on any form of racism, ageism or Happy Tigerism.

I haven't read the rest yet. I'll get back to you. :emoticon-0105-wink:
