Don't get me wrong I'd like us to sign him! I just highly doubt they'll let him go when they're scrapping for survival.

Sturridge has West Ham written all over him. Arsenal the only big club who potentially might be interested but can't really see it. Anyway he definitely isn't coming here.

Would take 11 mil for Jay. He was never a very good footballer technically, relying on his pace and directness during his good spell. The injuries he has had has almost certainly had an effect on this area so I just can't ever see him getting back to being good enough for where we want to be. Have no idea why West Brok or Hull would want him either though so this one is probably bullshit

Merson is knob, but he is the first one to name a price that I think the club would listen to.
Everyone else is saying £30-£40 million, if VD is worth £10-£20 million less than John stones, the world has gone mad.

It would be amazing to keep VVD for a third year, especially now people outside of Southampton are starting to realise just how much of a complete footballer he is. I don't think I have ever seen a player for Saints who looks so comfortable in any position he plays in. He would be a bloody good striker, a sensational midfielder (personally think this will eventually be his best position), and is already a world class defender. I've never seen him lose the ball when going on a messi-run, never feel like he is going to lose an aerial battle.
