Welcome aboard the Lemons - Laces Promotion-Chasing Tour Bus! Having pulled in at St Marys for a quick goalie change, we will shortly be sashaying down the M4 towards The Land of My Fathers (well, not my father, but you get the idea), for a visit to Cardiff, the capital of Wales, which has a very impressive castle, several oval-ball stadia, and a nice harbour area, including The Wales Millenium Centre. Once we pick up the three points on offer, it's off to that jewel of the Midlands, Leicester. I must admit to being sorely lacking in knowledge about Leicester, although I did once visit a car park there, which may have been the final resting place of Richard III, although I didn't see him on the sixth floor. Leicester will pose different issues for Saints, but in the current spirit of bonkerishness, we'll obviously win that one too, before returning to St Marys to play some Potters. As St Marys is at sea level, the Stoke players will suffer from the bends (reverse altitude sickness) and be unable to play their normal attractive football, thus ensuring another win for us. This leads onto, well, Leeds, who may or may not care about us by then. I suggest getting our goalkeeper, whoever it may be, to wear a Super Kelvin Davis mask, and terrify their team into passing the ball into their own net. So, automatic promotion is now assured, but I suggest that any/all Saints fans become temporary fans of West Brom, then Middlesbrough, QPR, Hull, Preston North End and Coventry. That should do the trick.
Leeds are just as likely to slip again against Middlesboro, a point would be enough if we can secure wins against Cardiff and Leicester.
They were playing a low block and it didn’t work … And yet they continued It will be interesting to see how well we do next time we get pressed Good to see Shea filling in for Flynn so well, but again, need to see how well he does when we’re pressed higher Great performance though, some real quality COYS
We've got the ball We've got the ball We've lost the ball Right match blog shortly just about to scour the house for dead friends tabby daughter has brought in whilst I was 248 miles away
First things first. Got to beat Cardiff away. Looking at their results they don't really do draws! Their recent form is patchy but over the last 10 games they've had some good results. Millwall 3-1 Cardiff Birmingham 0-1 Cardiff Cardiff 1-3 Hull Coventry 1-2 Cardiff Cardiff 0-2 Sunderland Swansea 2-0 Cardiff Cardiff 2-1 Ipswich Cardiff 1-0 Huddersfield Bristol City 0-1 Cardiff Cardiff 2-1 Stoke

Hope he gets a full recovery from a real problem injury. Makes the close season transfer situation more difficult for the Club, but the main thing is that he is able to get our jersey on again, however long it takes.
The target last night was to get a win, keep a fresh squad etc. We got a clean sheet, hardly broke sweat in the second half and apart from the really unfortunate situation with Baz, a whole squad ready to go to Cardiff!! And win that too!!
According to the Echo Downes is carrying a knock, which is why he was subbed off at HT. RM expects him to be ready for Saturday. Difficult decision to be made because if he isn’t 100% should RM save him for Tuesday, or does the importance of winning Saturday mean risking Downes worsening the injury and then missing the Leicester game?
He said it was mostly precautionary. If he's ready for Saturday he plays. Simple as that as it's win or bust.
Downes on the bench, Charles to start. Keeping faith with him after good recent performances a confidence builder.
I think every game is **** or bust so start with Downes. Lose Saturday and Tuesday irrelevant. We could win Saturday and nobble Downes but we need to take each game as it comes.Every game is a one off Cup Semi final, until the game that will get us the autos and that is the Final
Depends on the injury. We've all played with an achy impact injury. Dead leg. Smashed toe. Just get on with it. Muscle injuries... tweaked back, tight hammy... take no risks!
Well Bazunu has a 63% save ratio. That is the 23rd best in the league! Going to be pretty hard to beat it. If we judge on passing, however, I think McCarthy will struggle.
