He's as fit as Augero, and he's in the same class. Studge has two key problems in the world of Jurgen Klopp - he just hasn't the fuel tanks of a Mane or a Firmino. I'd liken him to John Aldridge in the 80's team - sublime finisher, but couldn't do what Rush could regarding closing down. Additionally, if he plays three or four games on the trot he seems to get soft-tissue injuries.

But he's not 'lazy'. It's ****ing lazy to say he's lazy. He doesn't plough a furrow from the centre circle to the penalty spot like Benteke - he's always shifting out to the flanks and pulling his markers about. Take the Europa final - he was ****ing everywhere and more for an hour. At @ the 65 minute mark there was a ball to chase against a slower, bigger defender that he'd laced all evening, but he was leaden-footen and could barely walk. The reaction on here, by some, and on social media and the ****ing Mirror was that he was 'lazy' again. No he wasn't - he was shot.

Be wary of selling the sports car because it can't pull a caravan. I appreciate what Klopp wants, but in the whole, Danny is an asset that we can ill afford to lose, especially as we're still fighting on three fronts. And Danny should be wary of playing for a side that would expect him to play four games out of five - he'll be back to spending half the season on a treatment table.

Gerrard left LA Galaxy. Says may not retire from football though.... can't see him playing for anyone in England though. Bit of time out before coaching seems like obvious conclusions.

Seen links to Newcastle and Celtic if he carries on playing. If not then i suspect it'll be us.

If Sturridge does want to leave, I think he would be wise to go abroad.

He's played for man city, Chelsea and us, not many big clubs left for him. With his talents and injury record somewhere on the continent might be good for him

West Ham and Stoke are the rumours. But what about Spurs or Arsenal?

Tottenham have considered a move for Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge, 27. Spurs are considering revisiting the move in the January transfer window.(Bleacher Report)

Liverpool are monitoring FC Rostov striker Sardar Azmoun, 21, but his agent says there have been no firm offers yet. Azmoun has been dubbed 'the Iranian Messi' and other Premier League clubs are thought to be showing an interest.(Liverpool Echo)

Former Liverpool great Steve Heighway believes the club's legendary manager Bill Shankly would approve of the way the current side are playing under Jurgen Klopp.(Daily Telegraph)

Best for all if he stays I think.

He's capable of playing a big part from the bench or as an irregular starter, especially if we have Europe next season.

I can see him going to Arsenal, Spurs or a return to City. But he will cost a bomb considering his injuries and may have a similar role.

Still think that individually he is our most dangerous attacker. Bit of an anomaly that he hasn't got a PL goal this season. He may yet prove important.

And he's not lazy... that's rubbish. He isn't Firmino or Lallana but there's a middle ground before hitting lazy.

Look I'll be honest. Sturridge is a top finisher but he's not the england no 1 striker. Kane is.

I agree that he should go abroad and rip up the french league with PSG. easy for him. PLus gets CL.

We won't sell the spurs and there is no way he will want to go to west ham or stoke.

I would agree that all being equal it would be best for all that he doesn't go mad this winter cos he has a league cup medal to play for again (will be in semi i hope after the draw we got) and he can compete for a league which he prob won't see a chance at again..

after that though. I don't know whats best. if he goes We have firmino and origi for one position. lets forget ings so there is a chance then for klopp to bring in a player with his fee. that would be interesting... i just don't think sturridge really fits klopp's needs.

klopp wanted him to play left side and drift but he spat the dummy immediately so has been on bench and has come on central with firmino being moved to accommodate with issues arising from it.

Sturridge is selfish, frustrating and a joy to watch. That assist vs Leicester and his shot setup Winji against Hull. He should start on Saturday too.

The way we are playing means he won't be a great loss. But he will improve Arsenal and Spurs, he's better than Janssen and Giroud, and we should keep him away from them at all cost.

It's going to be stupid to sell to one of our competitors. He should go abroad.

Steven Gerrard: Liverpool should re-sign club legend, says Mark Lawrenson

Gerrard has been named in the Premier League team of the year eight times
Liverpool should re-sign Steven Gerrard as a player and coach as the "only effects would be positive", says the club's former defender Mark Lawrenson.

Gerrard, 36, is leaving MLS club LA Galaxy and claims he is considering "options on and off the pitch".

Lawrenson feels Gerrard could "definitely play in this Liverpool team" and be used in a coaching role.

"They will not have to pay him fortunes - they can tell him if they need him he'll play," said Lawrenson.

"The most important thing in all this, though, is that he would not be seen as a threat by Jurgen Klopp if he was on the coaching staff.

"He would be brilliant to have around the club because he would be in awe of Klopp, so that is just not a worry. I am sure Klopp would love it too - the only effects would be positive.

"He has already coached Liverpool's under-16 team for a while in 2015 and really enjoyed it," added Lawrenson, who made 356 appearances for the club. "If you are an under-16 and getting coached by Stevie G, then how good is that?"

    Price of Football study 2016
The BBC's Price of Football study is released at 22:00 GMT on Wednesday 16 November on the BBC Sport website and across the BBC.
It analyses more than 1,500 different prices at more than 200 clubs across the UK and Europe.
You can investigate your club's prices and work out how much football costs you with our special interactive calculator on the website.
Gerrard is pursuing his Uefa A coaching licence - the second-highest qualification offered - and has punditry commitments lined up. But Lawrenson believes Gerrard would "definitely be open" to being registered as a player.

He left Anfield in 2015 after spending 17 years in the first team, making 710 appearances, scoring 186 goals and winning eight major trophies.

The midfielder played 34 times for Galaxy over two seasons and insists he will be back in football in some capacity. He has been linked with moves to Celticand Newcastle in recent weeks.

Lawrenson hopes Liverpool can call on the experience of both Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher
Klopp allowed Gerrard to train with the first team during the MLS off season and has previously said the former Reds' captain is "always so welcome" at the club.

Lawrenson also wants the club to utilise Jamie Carragher, who retired in 2013 after 737 Liverpool appearances, insisting drawing on the experience of two former greats is "a no brainer".

He added: "I would let those two come in and take a couple of training sessions at Anfield as well. They would offer a different voice and a different point of view, without undermining the manager. Can you imagine them in the coaches room with Klopp? It would be great."

The ****er has clearly lost the plot completely <laugh>

Liverpool’s chances of keeping Philippe Coutinho this summer have improved after it emerged that the Brazilian does NOT have a buy-out clause in his contract.

Barcelona are interested in signing the 24-year-old this summer with Luis Enrique’s side said to have made the attacking midfielder their number one target.

Coutinho has six goals and six assists in 12 matches this term, helping Liverpool to the top of the Premier League table.

Luis Suarez left Anfield for the Nou Camp in a £75million deal in 2014 and supporters are understandably worried that the same will happen next summer.

    Mirror.

While the attractions of a move to La Liga are obvious for Coutinho, Liverpool would at least be able to name their price for the Brazilian should be push for a move to the Camp Nou.

And that is why Mark LAwrenson is regarded as a massive tosspot and not wanted on MOTD.

Give Gerrard a job right at the bottom of the coaching ladder at LFC and let him work his way up.

We have Klopp and his team who are highly regarded. Great people to learn from.
