England striker Daniel Sturridge is ready to leave Liverpool in January, with West Ham and Stoke ready to pay £28m for the 27-year-old.(Mirror)

The world has gone ****ing mad. Daniel Sturridge is the best English striker in the game. Yes, I'd rather have him than Kane and Vardy. Only a young Defoe comes anywhere near him. This mustn't happen.

Andy Carroll was sold for under £15m, he costs us over around £35m. We bought Sturridge for £13m and the club now put a price tag of £28m on him.
Would not like to sell Daniel Sturridge, but he thinks his future is outside Anfield, and the club is willing to release him honky-donkey:emoticon-0137-clapp.

What is sturridges actual quotes?

Or there isn't any and a journo putting his own twist on things.

I'll be surprised if Klopp let Sturridge go without a replacement in place. Am also surprised by the valuation of under £30m...in today's market, that's ridiculously low for England's #1 striker!

It wouldn't surprise me at all if Sturridge wanted to leave, given that he clearly isn't an automatic starter in Klopp's preferred line-up.
He is still an important part of the squad, though this might not be enough for him.
I think he should at least wait to see what happens after Mane buggers off for a bit.
If we do sell, given the ludicrous state of the transfer market it has to be for a lot more than the quoted fee for arguably the best English striker around.

its not even a story cos neither stoke nor west ham have the money even at that number.

he is going nowhere in january but will be sold in summer. no question.
