England striker Daniel Sturridge is ready to leave Liverpool in January, with West Ham and Stoke ready to pay £28m for the 27-year-old.(Mirror)
The world has gone ****ing mad. Daniel Sturridge is the best English striker in the game. Yes, I'd rather have him than Kane and Vardy. Only a young Defoe comes anywhere near him. This mustn't happen.
Stan Collymore: This Liverpool ace would be a starter at Everton if Jurgen Klopp sold him LIVERPOOL hitman Daniel Sturridge would walk straight into Everton’s first-team. http://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/fo...turridge-Stan-Collymore-Jurgen-Klopp-LFC-News
what a joke story. west ham and stoke.... come on... the fact is is a bit of naughtyness. but i'd sell him... but not for that fee.. call it 45mil and i'd pass him on.
I've said a few times now, he'll have a big role to play for us this season. We'll need him as the season goes on and will not sell in January. Who knows in the Summer as I imagine he'll want more regular game time.
Andy Carroll was sold for under £15m, he costs us over around £35m. We bought Sturridge for £13m and the club now put a price tag of £28m on him. Would not like to sell Daniel Sturridge, but he thinks his future is outside Anfield, and the club is willing to release him honky-donkey. please log in to view this image
I'll be surprised if Klopp let Sturridge go without a replacement in place. Am also surprised by the valuation of under £30m...in today's market, that's ridiculously low for England's #1 striker!
Sturridge is not the type of Klopp's forward, maybe, he is not putting enough effort or lazy, I don't know.
It wouldn't surprise me at all if Sturridge wanted to leave, given that he clearly isn't an automatic starter in Klopp's preferred line-up. He is still an important part of the squad, though this might not be enough for him. I think he should at least wait to see what happens after Mane buggers off for a bit. If we do sell, given the ludicrous state of the transfer market it has to be for a lot more than the quoted fee for arguably the best English striker around.
its not even a story cos neither stoke nor west ham have the money even at that number. he is going nowhere in january but will be sold in summer. no question.
Fair point. When was the last time he was injured for more than one game? If he stays fit for the rest of the season, does his value increase? Perhaps that's Klopp's plan! <ninja>
Sturridge speaking openly about leaving has complicated matters, even if he does not want to leave now he has given Klopp some idea. He needs to show some respect to Liverpool, they are the one paying his wages even when not fit.
no he wasn't it was 19mil for andy injured carrol and second our club put no price tag on him. a journo has.
