I was listening to the radio commentary and they were very, very impressed with Murray last night. I'd love him to finish the year as No 1.
I thought Murray was looking good yesterday. TBH, even though winning on his way to be number 1, I haven't thought he has looked his best recently. He has tended to look good, then muck up, before deciding to win after all. Saints have mastered the first two bits of that plan....now need to master the winning bit. :)

Norwegian girl run over in Doha deliberately by a policeman...she wasn't seriously hurt and they were advised not to complain. She had just won a bronze in the World Championship. I don't why sports events are held in countries where such things can happen. South Africa was subjected to a sports ban because of apartheid....we should do the same in countries like this. May not have much effect, but we shouldn't condone such behaviour. Usual case of money overcoming morality I suppose.

Agreed.

Like Ayrton, Max didn't realise it was raining. It was almost (I'll say again, almost) Monacoesque...
This is back during the time I used to watch. Surely you mean Doningtonesque.? If were talking about Monaco then it has to be Martin Brundle in a Tyrrell. Came 2nd from nowhere in torrential weather when Alain Prost was bleating about a bit of water. Those were the days.

No, that Monaco GP was the one I'm on about and it was Senna. Prost made them stop the race early as Senna gobbled up the ground. Don't recall if Brundle did the same, but Senna definitely did it in a Toleman.

Donnington was the scene for "The greatest lap ever" which was also Senna.

OK, agreed there were other times. I just felt it was Brundle this time. No matter. Brundle did at Monaco one year, in the rain.

Murray v Djokovic going with serve in the first set. No idea how Murray is even standing up, let alone matching Djokovic shot for shot, after the matches he's played in the last week. Live on BBC2 if anyone's interested.
