This thread is for Saints fans to make their comments on other sports from Rugby Union and League, F1, Tennis, Snooker, Horse-racing and anything else that you may want. Some wisecrack is bound to say that there are other forums for these sports - correct. I went to the Rugby Union board and it is derelict. We have more comments about that sport here on the Saints forum. What about the off-topic thread? That is too general - one moment a member is going on about home decoration, the next it is about gardening, food, health so any comments on a sport are lost.

I have spent the last hour on YouTube watching the best of the All Blacks. One just has to say they are the most watchable international team of any sport. Tell me an international football team as entertaining as the All Blacks? There isn't!! I was pleased with their result against Australia at the weekend thus breaking their own record of consecutive wins. Although the Aussies had more possession and territory what is brilliant about the All Blacks is their ability to move that ball at speed. Given the entertainment they have provided and continue to produce, I hope their continue to reign supreme in the world of rugby union.

I think this thread is more deserving of a sticky than the politics thread, this is a sport based forum after all. :emoticon-0100-smile

In that sequence of play the All Blacks kicked the ball twice in open play. I don't think they kick the ball more than twice these days in open play in an entire match never mind in a sequence. Well they must have studied that clippage and learnt from it because NZ have on many occsaions have launched swift try scoring counter attacks from deep inside their own half.

That would upset St Brendy and Tom so better not!! Besides it is good that cricket has its own thread.

Klitschko pulls out of potential fight with AJ. Heavyweight division is a farce at the moment - not one fight in the past year, and no sight of a decent one anytime soon. At least the other divisions have been exciting. I am looking forward to Ward v Kovalev.

Heavyweight division has been poor for a long time now imo. Hopefully AJ can have a couple of big fights next year though.

Murray beats Klizan in Vienna 2 sets to 1. Lost the 2nd set in the tie break, then won the last set 6-0. Good chance for Murray to get some points back against Djokovic. .

Big shame that Mario Itoje has been ruled out of the Autumn eggball games.

Some match going on here between Murray and Simon. Simon took first set; Murray the 2nd. Murray just broken Simon in third, but that's only part of the story. Terrific tennis with long rallies and unusually Murray isn't always winning those rallies.

It is a pity for the lad but the question is will it seriously weaken England? I suspect like many on here, we would have loved the All Blacks to have taken on England. England would probably win the battle up front but would spill a pass thus handing possession to NZ who can strike from just about anywhere on the pitch and score in one phase such is the speed they move the ball.

Murray won in 3 sets, but it took 2 hr 41 min. Needs to get his first serve in.

I suppose the indoor surface is about the best as it is consistent in bounce and everything else whereas grass and the clay tend to favour specialists in those areas. It must look great under the lights in a very noisy arena.
PS: Has Murray got any MBEs like his brother?
