Very impressive, particularly after the tough games he's had over the past few days. But I doubt he could have done it if he'd also had to play in the Europa League on Thursday night....
Fantastic effort from Murray. I had to keep switching channels in the final game because I thought he was going to blow it. Sorry Andy for not having faith.
I hope everyone gets behind Mo Farah this year. Murray has already won it twice, so time for Mo Farah who has been the number one 5000m and 10000m runner for well over 4 years.
The King is dead! Long live the king!! Is this the start of a new era in men's tennis or the culmination of a period in the men's game where 4 players have dominated the titles for well over a decade, with only Del Potro, Stan Warwinka (although he has as many GS titles as AM, cannot match the latter overall in terms of titles won) Cilic intruding on the rare occasions? Andy Murray could dominate for a few years as he is physically and mentally strong, while the other 3 appear to be slipping and while the new generation (players who are 10 years younger have yet to make any impression at all)
Big international next weekend in the Stade de France, France v New Zealand. Let's hope NZ can demolish the French yet again and score 10 tries. Please! Please! Please!! The reason why I "love" the NZ rugby team is the way they run and offload the ball to score tries. It has been great to see them destroy both South Africa and Australia in this year's Four Nations. They way NZ play the game with great running, passing and creativity is the way it should be played and is in stark contrast to the turgidity offered by the French and until Eddie Jones took over, the English as well.
They haven't been unbeatable recently as Ireland have proved though. But also England have been below par in the last 2 games as well.
