sorry lads - I have obviously got your backs up - not my intention - no offence intended. Gruesome was tongue in cheek - as I said I do miss them - when they were good they were unbeatable, but when the burger was still frozen in the middle then I think gruesome sums it up. Does anyne remember the premises where the Fulwell Indian Take away now is, I know it started life as a Fish and Chip shop was it ever a chinese takeaway, if so it is a truly international building!
With regards to the bus depot - it was not a terminus is the point I was trying to make, its just like it is now in Dundas Street - it has a bus stop outside but not all buses that go to the depot stop at the bus stop. As a pub the Harbour View is ok - but it is not as welcoming or as friendly as it was when it was the Pilot Cutter. It seems I cannot do right for doing wrong. I'll get my coat.................................
Don't mention the burger, now that was gruesome,(lovely when pissed) On fulwell rd? not sure, remember luxdon laundry being nesar there. mackemman, don't take it to heart, nee offense meant.
Yes, forgot all about Luxdon laundry. And of course Redby Tuck shop - I bought my first sarsaparilla tablets from there
Wasn't offended mate, i actually corrected what i'd said, i made no reference to 'in my time in Fulwell' in original post, so you were right
